About Me
I have worked with children and families since 1996 and am qualified in Early Years ,having worked in various early years settings over the years.
I'm warm, trustworthy and nurturing and am a proud Mum of a teenager and a grown- up son.
I enjoy buiding good relationships with children and their families, enjoy interacting and playing with kids and like discovering opportunities for children to engage in play that enhances their learning and development.
Feedback from others includes being approachable and easy to talk to and get along with. I form positive relationships with children and their families, and am non-judgemental and have geniune empathy, and understand the issues parents face. I have a good knowledge of child development and have built up strategies over the years to support children and parents.
In my available time away from my other responsibilities, I can offer part-time
* Daytime babysitting
* Ad-hoc/backup childcare
* An extra pair of hands to help parent/carer at the park, toddlers groups or appointments
* Time to spend with other children or have a break
* Sharing ideas on play, or offering some suggestions or input in other child related areas (if
asked)
My Experience
Work has has included working in school council nursery's and primary schools, a family centre, working as a childminder, a nanny and working with Home Start supporting families in their homes. I have experience from birth to teens and main area is early years,

BA Degree in Community Education
HNC: Childcare and Education
SVQ : Early years and Education
Additional training includes First Aid,Child Protection,Early Literacy,Building the Ambition , Outdoor Play, and Food and Hygiene.
Currently building a wider knowledge on toilet training and child development.
Certificates and PVG (children and adults) available upon request as is a references
My Availability
I don't before/after school only cover and am mainly available to cover daytime babysitting and back up childcare through the day on weekdays.
I may on occassion be available for evening /weekend cover for regular families.
Please contact me for current availability,due to other commitments I cannot offer full time day babysitting/ childcare support.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
