About Me
Hi my name is Sandra and I am an experienced Ofsted registered childminder. I am based in Sunbury-on-thames, where I live with my partner. I am a proud parent of 4 children, of which two have now grown up and left home, one is at university and one has joined the fire brigade.
I offer a warm and home-from-home environment with fun learning activities. I regularly attend playgroups and utilise local parks and other activities, such as going to a farm.
I am within walking distance to both St Ignatius and Springfield therefore can offer pick up and drop off from these schools.
I am able to offer childcare all year round.
My Experience
Apart from being a mother of 4 children, I have helped my partner run our sons football team, volunteer at my children's school and been on school trips. I love listening to children read and help their learning and development. I enjoy working and spending time with children.
My Qualifications
I have completed the Surrey county council Childminding Introduction programme
(CHIP)
Including sessions on:
Caring for other peoples children.
Staying safe and being healthy.
Enjoying and achieving.
Making a positive contribution.
What to do if? (Safeguarding children)
Am up to date with the St Johns Ambulance Early years first aid.
Learning and development observation assessment and planning.
Completed the EYFS update for home based childminders, including the 2 year progress check.
Attended workshop for revised Early years foundation stage for early years and childcare practitioners.
Completed the online professional development course for: expectations of behaviour.
Completed the online professional development for supporting children with speech and language and communication needs.

Sandra takes great care of my daughter daily; she goes the extra mile to ensure she feels comfortable and accepted; she is very flexible and understanding and will keep good communication between us to ensure safety comes first. Thank you for being an awesome childminder.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have Sandra as our daughter’s childminder. Sandra is the epitome of reliability and friendliness. She goes above and beyond to ensure she’s a caregiver and a genuine part of our family’s support system.
Sandra is meticulous about knowing the details of our daughter’s school schedule, ensuring she’s always in the right place at the right time. Her caring nature is evident in how she invests in our daughter’s interests and activities. She even attends events that our daughter performs in, showing a level of commitment and support that is truly exceptional.
During holidays, my daughter is so fond of Sandra that she insists on sending her messages and pictures, which speaks volumes about their bond. Sandra’s warmth and dedication have made her an invaluable part of our lives, and we can’t recommend her highly enough!

Sandra looked after my daughter for 4 years and she has been amazing. Will always go the extra mile and my daughter loved her time there. She now goes to school but still asks to go and visit. I can highly recommend Sandra and her services.
