About Me

My name is Joanne, I am an Ofsted registered childminder with 17 years experience. I live with my husband Dave and three daughters born 2001, 2005 and 2008. We live in a four bedroom detached house with a large child friendly garden.

I provide a homely, fun and educational environment with a section of toys and activities to help the children reach their milestones. We go on outings to parks, farms, play centres and toddler groups, I am also a member of the National Trust.

On my last Ofsted Inspection in October 2017 I received GOOD.

Children are happy and settled, benefiting from secure attachments with their carer, who joins them in play and supports their communication, language and physical development through outings, singing and storytelling. Independence skills such as handwashing, dressing and accessing drinks are well promoted, helping children prepare for school. Safeguarding arrangements are effective, with good understanding of risk and reporting procedures. However, activities are not always sequenced to build clearly on what children need to learn next, and there is limited engagement with other educational settings children attend, which could better support continuity of care and learning.
