About Me
Hi I'm Sarah an Ofsted registered 'outstanding' childminder. I am married with 2 children & I live in Hunt End. I have a large very well equipped playroom and a garden with playhouse, swing, ride ons etc. All weather under cover outdoor play area.People always say to me 'I don't know how you do it?' and I always say how many other jobs do you get to play all day, bake cakes, run around in the park and have the most fun!! As a child minder I take my position very seriously and I'm very aware of how much the time I spend with the children in my care has an influence on their lives. I'm very proud to say at my last Ofsted inspection (Feb 2015) I was graded OUTSTANDING!!
My Experience
I have been childminding for about 18 years. I care for children from birth to approx 5 years. I have my NVQ level 3 in childcare learning and development and become accredited, which means as well as being Ofsted inspected I have regular visits from a network co-ordinator to ensure I am meeting standards of early education. As an accredited child minder I receive the 3 and 4 year old 15/30 hours of pre-school funding on your behalf (which is available to all children from the beginning of the next school term after their 3rd birthday, until they start first school), therefor cutting down on your bill! I also qualify to 2 year old funding for eligible families.
We attend toddler groups, go to parks, the library, Warwick Castle, Forge Mill and so on. During the holidays we go, to the sealife centre, softplay, farm etc
My Qualifications
I am rated by ofsted as an Outstanding provision. I have a first aid certificate
Cache level 2 in playwork
NVQ level 3 in Childcare learning and development.
I take at least 4 courses a year which cover a wide range of subject matter including child protection, planning and observation, food hygiene, letters and sounds, special educational needs and so on.
It goes without saying my husband and I are both CRB checked
I am chairperson of the Redditch childminders association

I have limited space At the moment
I provide term time only contracts if needed with no retainer charged during school holidays!
