My Experience

My experience has been mainly in the upbringing of my own 4 children. I now have 17 years of childminding experience, plus 34 years with my own children. I have an understanding of asthma as both my boys were diagnosed at the aged of 8 months and child allergies.

I have been a joint playgroup leader in the past.

My Qualifications

This is mainly based on experience of bringing up my own children and the children I look after. I attend courses whenever possible to keep updated with the latest information.

I am also trained in paediatric first aid.

References are available from past and present parents who have used my service, upon request.

My Availability

I work from 7.30 - 5.00 Monday to Thursday. I will be available for 47/48 weeks of the year so parents can maintain their work/home life balance without looking for additional childcare. Notice for holidays is generally given with 1/2 months notice.

I offer the 30 hour free funding (if your child is eligible) from 9 months old onwards (including 2 year funding) along with 3/4 year old free 15-30 hour funding. Please note funding is offered term time only. My hourly rate will be applicable if you need school holidays. If you need a space in September 26 you will need to have obtained your funding code before the end of August 26.

I currently have no availability before or after school places for Manston St James which is based on Sandbed Lane LS15. Spaces for the early years will be available from Sept 26.
This includes 1-2 places Monday - Thursday and 1 place Monday and Tuesday. Childcare places go very quickly so give yourself plenty of time to choose the perfect setting for your child.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour

My hourly rate will be discussed upon contact. You will need to provide a packed lunch and a bottle for water for your child, but all snacks (am and pm) will be included in the hourly rate. I accept childcare vouchers as payment and have registered with the latest government scheme that helps towards payment your fees. Parents will be asked to provide nappies, wipes and a spare set of clothes. A charge of my full normal hourly rate will be made if parents take holiday or your child is sick (this only applies to non funded places). No charge applies if I am on holiday or I am unwell. I take annual leave 4/5 weeks of the year mainly in school holidays but occasionally take a week off in term time.
