My name’s Amy, I have over 17 years experience working with young children. I am a mother to two wonderful little ladies where the inspiration for my setting name has come from. @hopeandbear_childcare
Penelope is 7 and attends Milford Infant School, and Cecelia is 3 years old and loves having friends around.
I have a huge amount of passion for what I do and believe each child is truly unique. With a day tailored to their interests, they can learn and flourish through play and interaction in a loving and nurturing environment.
My Experience

We spend time in my home, which becomes a home from home for the children who attend. We have a large selection of toys and learning resources with a designated main space to the rear of the house.
We like to spend time painting, being creative, exploring through a variety of textures and mark makers. We love to build, using Duplo, wooden blocks, magnets, train sets, junk modelling or wood and stones in the garden. Baking, using the scales recognising numbers, exploring food through touch and seeing a final product. Using small world toys and role playing. Will they be a superhero or a Dr today? The children will always have access to: reading books; puzzles for a variety of ages and abilities and games. We love music time either as a circle session or with the disco lights on and some of our favourite songs, and so much more.
I believe outside offers a huge amount of opportunity to experience new things, as well as allowing us to take part in activities that aren’t possible inside. Whether we are in my well-equipped garden, with an array of interchangeable activities or we are out in the community. We like to picnic in the woods, taking in all it has the offer. We visit local playgrounds, feed the ducks and go on mini adventures. Every so often we love a day trip to the seaside, RHS Wisley or Bird World to name a few. I believe there are so many things to be gained from different experiences and different environments.
Yourself and I will work in partnership with regular updates as well as daily handovers to ensure your child receives the love, care and encouragement to grow, while here with me and their friends, and at home.
