My name is Emily, I'm 35 years old, fun-loving childminder who has a kind, loving attitude towards caring for children.
My husband and I live in leighton buzzard with our 6 and 1 year old daughters.
We live on Brookside Walk in a 3 bedroomed house with enclosed garden and playroom.
I have my own 7 seater car with business insurance and I have had a clean, full UK driving licence for 17 years.
During your child’s time in my setting they will benefit from visits to local parks, the library, toddler groups, trips to local woods and farms and many more fun places! They will also take part in activities such as craft, singing, outdoor play, small world games, role play, cooking and enjoy lots of learning through play.
I have been working in childcare since 2005. Before having my eldest daughter I ran a successful Pre-school for 7 years. I have also worked as a nanny caring for children from newborn up to 14 years of age and multiples for many years.
During my time at Pre-school our team achieved two "good" Ofsted ratings.
I have a Foundation degree in early childhood studies (level 5)
And first aid, DBS, Safeguarding children, SENCO training and health and safety certificates along with many more.....
Please contact me if you require any more information.

Our daughter has attended Emily’s setting for the past year for 4 days a week and has absolutely loved every second of it! Emily has a wonderfully caring and loving nature and treats the children in her setting in a nurturing and kind manner, encouraging the best from each of them. My daughter has developed massively since attending Emily’s setting both from an educational and emotional perspective and I am sad that she has to move on to pre-school!
Emily offers a wide variety of different activities each week to support specific learning topics - for example Mead Farm, the Zoo, the local market, allotments etc, as well as some regular consistent visits to play groups which have helped to build friendships between our daughter and other children.
Emily keeps us up to date on my daughter’s progress against the EYFS criteria too which has been really helpful when moving into the pre-school setting.
Overall Emily has been a pleasure to have looking after our daughter-she is always welcoming, polite and flexible to accommodate our needs. We will be sad to move on and can’t recommend her enough!!
I have left my son in Emily's care on many occasions during the school holidays. She provides a welcoming environment with a large range of activities to keep children occupied. My son is very happy going to Emily's house and I will definitely continue to use Emily's childcare service.
