My name is Lea, I am 31 years old, originally from Sweden and have been living in London for 6 years. I am available for private tutoring (in person and online) and babysitting. I am based in Belsize Park, north London - I prefer to stay fairly local but open to travel if you are in a different part of London too. I have over 10 years of experience working in child care and education, both as a sole charge nanny and teaching pre/primary school. I am currently working as a nanny for two girls Mon-Fri, alongside with offering private tutoring. I very much enjoy my profession, and have a genuine interest in children and their development, and how to best support them on their learning journeys. I'm a caring, energetic and creative person who will always try to go that extra mile. In my role as teacher/nanny I believe I am friendly and warm, fun and proactive, with a firm but fair approach when needed to. I always work to inspire and encourage the children I look after, and since every child and every family's needs are different, good communication and honesty is very important to me. I really enjoy cooking and baking and have a good knowledge and interest in nutrition.
My Experience
I have been working in the childcare and education field for over ten years, both as a full time nanny, teacher and private tutor. Here in the UK I have often been working with multilingual families both as a nanny and tutor. I was also teaching Swedish at a Swedish weekend school on Saturdays, to classes of children aged 5-11 years old.
Before moving to the UK, I was employed by a Nanny & Tutor agency in Sweden, working as a Nanny and tutor for several different families, where I had sole care of children aged 6 months to 9 years old. I also have been working as a teacher in pre/primary school and after school clubs.
