Hi parents!
My name is Lauren, I am 35 and an Ofsted registered childminder in Oakwood. I have recently just had my Ofsted inspection and I have been graded OUTSTANDING which I am incredibly proud of! I have been running my successful business for over 10 years now and have 1 assistant. I am also a qualified DFE mentor online supporting other childminders who need help and advise with improving their setting.
I live in a spacious open planned clean home with a big bright playroom for the little ones to play and learn that is all Montessori inspired.
I live down a quiet road with plenty of parking space when dropping off/collecting your child. I live with my husband and my 2 children aged 13 and 10. I have no pets and live in a smoke free home.
I am a kind, caring and genuine person. I have excellent references for you to read from all my lovely parents and have years of experience in childcare. I I have a spacious garden which is catered for children full of outdoor equipment.
I am very hands on with the children and we do lots of age appropriate activities covering the 7 areas of the eyfs and following the children interests. The children love sensory/messy play, arts and crafts, role play, puzzles, painting and lots more! They also have quieter time for reading books/ singing songs and lots of cuddles. I follow the EYFS curriculum and have lots of information on this which I would share with you.
I provide healthy home cooked meals throughout the day which is included in the fees and healthy snacks for your child daily.
I have 15 years + of experience working with Enfield Council with children of all ages from newborn up to young adults including children with special needs.

*Food and hygiene certificate
*Have advance training in child protection and all safeguarding areas.
*I have worked in many primary schools supporting the families in nurture groups which is for children with Social emotional behavioural difficulties (sebd)
*I have a lot of experience in positive behaviour management and done years of training and courses in this area.
* Worked with children with severe special needs at Cheviots for over 10 years
* I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and highly trained in delivering the Ofsted EYFS curriculum.
I work Monday to weds term time only. Many of my parents work in schools. Opening hours are 8-5pm.

Our family has been truly blessed to have Lauren as our childminder for the past two years. From the very beginning, she has provided the most loving, nurturing, and supportive environment for our daughter — and we can honestly say that she has been one of the most positive influences in her early years.

Quite frankly, our daughter wouldn’t cope without having Lauren in her life — and we know this isn’t goodbye. We’ll always remember Lauren and we’ll definitely keep in touch, because she’s become such an important part of our lives.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Lauren. From day one, she has been warm, professional, and deeply attentive - not only to our child’s needs but also to us as first-time parents navigating childcare for the first time.
Lauren creates a nurturing, engaging, and inspiring environment where children truly thrive. What we love most is how Lauren celebrates everyone's differences - she fills her days with books from around the world, fun cultural activities, and celebrations that teach the children to be kind and curious about others. It's beautiful watching our child learn about respect and friendship in such a natural way.
You can tell Lauren puts so much thought into everything she does. Every corner of her space has something interesting for the kids to explore, and she's always switching things up to match what each child is ready for. It never feels like just "keeping them busy" - there's real purpose behind every activity.
The daily updates are such a blessing too. Getting those little photos and videos throughout the day, plus knowing exactly what they ate and how they're doing, just makes everything so much easier for us worried parents!
Her place feels like a second home - it's spotless and safe, but also full of life and adventure. One day they're getting messy with paint, the next they're off picking strawberries or visiting horses, and sometimes they even get special trips to see the fire stations.
We honestly can't imagine having trusted anyone else with these precious early years. We couldn't be more grateful or give a stronger recommendation!

We found Lauren in the midst of COVID chaos in December 2020 and we feel so lucky and privileged to have her as our son's childcare provider for the past year and half. Lauren and her wonderful family have given our boy a safe and stimulating environment to grow, learn, develop, play, interact and just be a happy boy. Her amazing approach with kids and innovative ways to learning is dynamic, fun, messy, jolly and gives the children opportunity to explore and play with textures, colours, shapes, sounds, lights.
We as parents have enjoyed the continuous updates and fun photos and videos of activities and nutritious meal updates.
We feel that we have found a home away from home for our child. Such a wonderful environment for an infant and a great assurance to a parent that their kid is safe and well looked after.
We are soon to move to pre school and with heavy hearts are to say goodbye by to the weekly drop offs but we genuinely hope that we can still have some fun days with Lauren and her family in future!
