About Me

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I started my career of working with children in 2013 when I started the CACHE course. However during this time I got pregnant and was unable to complete the course due to complications in my pregnancy. This didn’t stop me from wanting to work with children, and having a child of my own only increased my passion for children’s early years education and play.
I started working as a nanny in 2014 (during my pregnancy) and then had a break as I was raising my son. In 2016, I went back to being a nanny and babysitting as I really enjoy spending time with children and helping families.
I am hard working and dedicated, with experience of looking after homes and children from new borns to 9 years old. I am confident in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where the children feel safe and confident to be themselves and approach me for anything. I am also able to build a friendly relationship with mutual respect between myself and the children.
I have experience in working in a nursery and looking after children of many ages. I enjoy the outdoor environment along with indoor activates such as arts, bored games and many more. I love to talk and be part of many conversations and I like to encourage children to use their words and develop their language skills. I am a kind and warm person and love children. I love to play and be active with the kids. I have a full clean driving licence and a clean recent DBS.

My Experience

Work Experience:
o 2018-2019 - Family in North Kensington
This was an after school nanny position for 2 children aged 4 (girl) and 7 (boy). I would collect both children from school and then walk home with them. We would on occasion go to the park or go straight home to do indoor activities such as colouring and puzzles. Sometimes we would go and have a snack/treat at their favourite local cafe before going home. Once home the activities we did depended on what the children wanted to do, sometimes we would bake cookies other times they just wanted to sit and read or watch a movie. I would then sit with them to do homework and then get dinner ready, and sit them down for dinner before their parents got home.

o 2018 - Family in Kensal Rise (Tuesday and Thursday)
I was a full time nanny for two days a week looking after 3 children. I would arrive early to prepare breakfast for the children and get them ready for school and nursery. Once i have taken the two older kids I would then take the youngest to the park or indoor play groups. I would prepare lunch and then put him down for a nap. After collecting the older children from school I would meet up with other nannies and arrange a play date or take them to the park. Once home we would do homework or I would set up an activity. I would then prepare lunch and give them a bath and get the youngest ready for bed.

o 2018 - Family in Isleworth (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
This was a after school nanny position for 2 boys aged 5&3. I would drive to collect the boys from school and nursery. I would then take to after school activities that the parents have organised. once we are home i entertained them with reading books or playing with lego and many more. We would then get dinner ready(the oldest loved helping with preparing dinner). After bath we sometimes put a movie on and had a calm evening before bed, i then did a little housework around the house making sure i have tidied up after the kids and myself.

o 2016-2018 - Family in Turnham Green:
This was an after school nanny position for two boy aged 5&3. On occasions where I would collect the oldest from school we would join some other nannies to the park. Or for a play date. I would then cook dinner and tidy up after the kids. I would help with homework and entertain the youngest or get him to do painting. When time for bed I would bath them and put them to bed by reading a story. The mother was pregnant and once she had the baby I also looked after the new born baby girl from birth. There was some days when I would work all day from 8.15 till bed time. This would mean I would take the little girl out to little gym and or to Maggie and rose where there was lots of activates to do.

o 2014-2016 - I had a break to have my baby and to raise my child.

o 2014 - Family in Edgware road:
This was an after school nanny position for 3 lovely boys. All three boys were in different schools and had 20 minutes to collect the two younger boys before collecting the oldest. We would tend to go home or to the park after school. The parents prepared dinner for the kids. I then would help the oldest with any work he had and we would play or sometimes they would like to do arts and crafts until the parents returned. There were times I would do some night babysitting. This position ended as I loft to have my baby.

o 2013-2014 - Family in high street Kensington:
This was an occasional babysitting. I would take the little girl out for a walk or sometimes we would go to Gymboree. When home we would do some readings or play with toys and sing along to nursery rhymes. I would give the little her lunch/ dinner, if it was night time I would also give her a bath and read her a bed time story and put her to bed.
