We are near to Chalkwell School, Darlinghurst School, Chalkwell Park and the Beach.
Our Sessions are held in one room with focussed activities for all age groups from age two. Afternoon sessions offer lots of inclusive, additional activities for all the children to enjoy
When a child starts at Preschool our Key workers, will make your child feel at home and help them to settle in quickly, always guided by your knowledge of each child. As well as their base room, the children also have access play outside in the garden which has a playhouse, tampoline and a mud kitchen area and a further selection of resources, to enhance the children’s development.
2-5 years : Main Hall
The hall is divided into different areas of learning and children have access to a home corner, creative area, maths, literacy and role play areas. There is a Quiet Corner and a Book area. Children can also enjoy access to a range of small world play as well as paint, glue, play dough, puzzles and a variety of mark making resources.

Another feature of the Pre School is the activities which are provided all year round, at no extra cost and generally, during the afternoon sessions.
Monday PM: Jo Jingles with Anna, this runs every other week in term time
Friday PM: Southend football session
Sessions fill up quickly, so please reserve a place as soon as possible

Our Fees
- Childcare from £22.50 per morning
- Childcare from £22.50 per afternoon
Westcliff URC Pre School was established in 1987. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in Term Time and children start aged 2 years until they attend school. We accept childcare vouchers and we are registered with various employers’ schemes for childcare vouchers. Please enquire for any further information you may require about this and also the free funding entitlement. Fees are payable in advance each half term and you will receive an invoice at the beginning of each half term for any non- funded sessions.
Morning and Afternoon Sessions cost £16.50 for 2 year olds
£16.50 for 3 and 4 year olds taking additional sessions, after any applicable funding of 15 hours per week has been applied .
Lunch Club is £3.00 (a packed lunch is supplied by yourself)
Morning Additional hours: 8.30-9.00
Morning session: 9 am-12 noon
Lunch Club: 12 noon-12.30
Afternoon session: 12.30-3.30pm
Afternoon Additional hours: 3.30-4.30
