About Me

I am a mother of a boy now 15 years old who is blind and wears cochlear implants due to an infection at 17months old.

But despite this devastating illness he is a vibrant, clever boy who is desperate to learn and has endless energy, and is very active. He really is quite a remarkable.

Currently he goes to school in England and I would like some help on a Friday to escort him there on the train. I would also like to develop this so that you can come and help during the holidays and at weekends, taking him to places, theme parks, museums, even a political rally if there was one locally. He is incredibly clever and is very into politics, you will have similar interests or at least be able to keep up. Its is not a carer role as such, but more of a companion.

A great sense of imagination and a big laugh is a must. A male worker would also be really welcome as he misses the company of males.

Reliability is essential though.  Experience with additional needs could be helpful but the most important aspect is a fun relationship with good chat.  I am looking for someone for the long term who can commit to the shifts and build a good relationship.
