About Me
Hello my name is Vicky and I am 37 years old, I live in the Waterlooville area with my husband and two little girls aged 9 years and 5.
We have a good sized three bed house, with a conservatory that is the main play room and work area for childminding. This also therefore allows the children free access to the garden when the weather allows.We also have a downstairs toilet.
Upstairs is not used for Childminding.
I have been childminding now for almost nine years and truly love my job.I have a wealth of experience within the childcare profession along with my experience as a mummy and am rated ‘ Good’ through Ofsted.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, going for walks and getting out and about in the fresh air. I also love anything crafty and messy and we love spending time with our little girls creating masterpieces.
We usually spend the week attending lots of different groups across the area, socialising with a fellow childminding friend and at parks and large outdoor spaces.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for almost nine years and have families that have left but remained firm friends.I pride myself in running a home from home setting where children are in encouraged to be individuals.
I also worked for many years as a nursery nurse with children of all ages.
I have spent time doing a variety of course's and groups with my little girls covering everything from music and movement to baby massage and was a frequent user of our local children's centers.
My mum was also a chidminder whilst we were growing up and I am still friends now with some of the children that she looked after. This gives my a very strong knowledge of how a childminding setting is run and lots of ideas and activities to keep your child developing well and most of all having fun.
I am up to date with all my training and I go on regular courses to keep my experience fresh and up to date in order to provide the best possible setting.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are as follows,
Cypop 5- Understand how to set up a home based childcare service
Child protection
Paediatric first aid
CACHE Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years.
Early years care and education Advanced apprenticeship
Course I have also completed,
Communication, language and literacy in the foundation stage.
Speech and language development day
Introduction to personal social and emotional development
The young child developing
Thinking in the early years
Working with 2 and 3 years olds.
Henry- Promoting a Healthy start for children.
Basic sign language
I am a member of PACEY and the local childminding groups.
My Availability
My setting is open Monday to Friday 8am/5pm ( This is a rough time frame and I can be flexible around this)

ONE additional SPACE ON A THURSDAY FROM SEPTEMBER 2023

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £4.75 per hour
My Fees are as follows,
£4.75 Per hour per child or £9.00 for two (siblings),This includes all snacks drinks and groups or small outings.
Lunch, Nappies, Baby Formula, creams ( if anything other than sudocreme is required) and suncreams will need to be provided.
I am happy to accept childcare Vouchers as payment.
Holidays
I do not work bank holidays ( I will not charge for this)
I will take up to six weeks holiday a year and do not charge for the times that I choose to close the business for. I will occasionally take holiday that does not fall within the school holidays and you will be notified accordingly of this.
Child/parent annual leave- Any leave taken on top of my six weeks will be charged at full pay.
Illness
Child/parent illness-Full charge
Childminder/Childminder Child Illness- No charge
Late pick up/Drop off
There is a half charge per 15 minutes.

We placed our two children Sophia 9 months old and Tobias 3 years old with Vicky in September 2021. From the initial consultation to the first day with Vicky, it was very seemless and stress free. The first day Sophia and Tobias came home they had big smiles on their faces and you could tell just from that they had a great day. Two years later, they still come home with smiles on their faces and can’t wait to leave the house in the mornings to go to Vicky’s. Vicky keeps a daily diary of their activities, mood, snacks eaten, toilet usage and lots more. The home setting makes the kids feel like part of a second family. Vicky also takes them to groups where they interact with other children, they also love going to the library and lots of other places where they learn new things everyday.
At no point through the two years has there been any issues or concerns. Your children will be very well looked after and Vicky is a very competent child minder. Best decision we ever made for childcare. Vicky is also very flexible and will help out where she can. She really is someone you can rely on.
