About Me
My name is Michelle. I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live with my husband Tom and 2 children, Emily, 11 and Samuel 7. I enjoy arts and craft and love to bake.
I offer a friendly, flexible child minding service, tailored to the needs and interests of the individual child. I do a variety of activities in the home and in the local area including attending a forest school. I have pet guinea pigs and rabbits in the garden.
I pick up / drop off from Springfield primary school.
My Experience
I registered May 2015 but have worked with children for many years. I have worked with children with learning disabilities, abandoned children in Brazil and before having Emily I worked as an activity co-ordinator for adults with learning disabilities.
My Qualifications
First aid and food hygiene certificates
West Berkshire child minding course
Level 5 diploma in leadership of health and social care
Certificate in art and intercultural
Universal and designated persons safeguarding
My Availability
Monday - Wednesdays, 8:00-5:15. From September I will have 2 pre school places Monday , Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I now just have 1 space available for mondays in September. I take funded children.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
8.00 - 6.00 - £6 per hour including food, drink and outings.
Before 8 and after 6 - £8 an hour.

We have a 3 yr old boy and he's been with Michelle for around two yrs now. From the get go I felt that he was safe in a loving environment. It's a really warm safe family home and he has benefitted a lot from interacting with with all her bunnies, birds and all sorts of lovely pets in her enclosed, sizable back garden. Given that he has downs syndrome, she's really stepped up to the plate and given great input as to how to approach caring for him. You can tell that Michelle is a warm and more importantly genuine person. Michelle's own kids treat him with respect and also they treat him like family. I couldn't be more happy that he is there with them. She also ensures that they are always kept busy, whether it be with arts and crafts, general play or outings to the farm or forest school. There's always something engaging happening!! She will always end the day with giving feedback on how he's been accompanied by picture she's taken throughout the day. I cant be happier!

Michelle's childminding has been an absolute blessing for our family. From the moment our daughter Pippa started attending at just 10 months old, she immediately felt at ease in Michelle's nurturing and caring environment. Despite Pippa's separation anxiety, she adapted seamlessly, a testament to Michelle's warm and welcoming approach.
What truly sets Michelle apart is her ability to make every child feel like part of her family. She has provided Pippa with a level of care and attention that goes above and beyond, treating her as one of her own. Pippa has also formed beautiful bonds with Michelle's school-aged children, who are kind and caring.
Beyond the exceptional care, Michelle offers a rich and stimulating environment for children to thrive. From arts and crafts to baking and educational activities both indoors and outdoors. The addition of small pets like rabbits has been an absolute delight, Pippa loves her time seeing and feeding the animals. Michelle also makes healthy home made meals which I appreciate a lot. She's also great at communicating and keeps you updated throughout the day.
I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough. Her childminding services provide a nurturing, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable experience for any young child. Michelle's dedication and warmth have been invaluable in Pippa's growth and development, and we are forever grateful for her exceptional care. Thank you, Michelle, for being an integral part of our daughter's life.

Thank you Maria for this beautiful and touching review. I’m so pleased . I’m glad for the opportunity to a part of shaping Pippa’s life in those early years which are so important for children.
My son who is now 4 has been looked after by Michelle since he was 13 months. She is such a lovely, kind, caring and welcoming lady and her family are all so friendly too.
My son has benefitted so much from all the outdoor time he has there plus all the additional activities such as cooking, craft and play activities. He is sometimes reluctant to go in the mornings but then never wants to leave in the evenings which is always a good sign! I would definitely recommend Michelle to anyone as she is just so lovely with the children.

Our 3 children (aged 10, 7 and 3) love Michelle's. They look forward to the varied range of activities Michelle organises. Sometimes it can be hard getting them to come home at the end of the day as they are playing so nicely. It is truely a "home from home" setting. Michelle keeps us updated about their time with her. We thoroughly recommend.

Michelle babysits my 2 girls in the evenings, who are 3 and 5. The girls are always pleased to see her and she is ever so good with them and is extremely calm and reliable. She gets them ready for bed and I know if I am in a bit of hurry, then I can just go even if they are in the middle of being put to bed, and she will take really good care of them. There was an occasion she came to babysit, when I was a bit worried about something my then 2 year old had eaten, and I was a bit uncertain whether to go out, however Michelle was great and reassured me that it would be absolutely fine, which it was, and I felt completely at ease. She is very kind to the girls and I would recommend her as a babysitter.

Michelle has been looking after my son (4yrs) who also attends a pre-school and my daughter (2yrs) since September 2017.
Settling in went very smoothly and my son soon preferred going to Michelle‘s over going to pre-school (although his pre-school really is fantastic, too!).
My daughter had initial separation fears as expected at the age, but it only took three or four visits before she walked in without even looking back.
Michelle takes the kids to messy church, Rhymetime, and various other toddler activities which they all enjoy a great deal. But at the same time spending a day at the house is just as much fun for them, as Michelle is quite creative and offers lots of different activities - such as making play dough or building a rocket from rubbish materials.
Michelle is always keen to try out something new with them.
Michelle has got a very calm personality which surely leads to the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere that I find every day when dropping off and picking up.
For us Michelle is the perfect childminder and I can only recommend her.

Michelle looked after my daughter for 10months and she settled exceptionally well from her very first visit.
Michelle is trustworthy and conscientious she has a naturally caring and nurturing personality and she was very patient and attentive to my child's needs. Michelle exuded creativity and provided a wide range of daily activities together with daily, detailed diary entries. She was very considerate and thoughtful, and I was extremely happy with the high level of childcare service she provided. I couldn't recommend her services more highly.
