My Experience

Hello, I’m Margaret. I have over 20 years’ experience caring for children from newborns to teenagers and supporting their families. I began as a Mother’s Help in Yorkshire and have since worked as a Maternity Nanny, Nanny Housekeeper, and carer for children with additional needs. I love helping new parents settle into routines, and I have cared for children from birth through to teens, including school runs, homework, cooking, and creating fun educational activities. I also have experience providing personal care and support for a child with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy and a young adult with Crohn's.

In the home, I’m happy to help with cooking, laundry, tidying, organising, pet care, and keeping things calm and welcoming for both family and guests. I have supported families with moving house, setting up their nursery and establishing routines, and caring for homes and pets while they travel. I raised my own four daughters and now have full flexibility. Parents describe me as organised, kind, calm and fun. For me it’s about balance: learning, experiencing, healthy food, laughter, stories, baking, music and time outdoors.

I am now looking for a full-time, part-time or temporary role. I’m flexible as to live-in or live-out in London, and would consider live-in further afield. I’m also happy to travel with families.

I am a non-smoker, hold a full British passport, an Enhanced DBS, and First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates. I am a qualified children's cookery class teacher and have run summer clubs for children from 4 to 11 in both cookery and performing arts.
