Hi, I'm Sophie. I'm 35 years old and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development. I have over 15 years of experience working with children, caring for ages ranging from newborns to five years old. More recently, I've also gained experience caring for older children aged 11 and 14. I currently provide occasional babysitting for a lovely 5-year-old girl, which I thoroughly enjoy.
Working with children is something I genuinely love, and I am passionate about helping them learn, grow, and thrive. I take pride in providing the best possible care and creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. I consider myself to be honest, caring, trustworthy, reliable, and highly organised, and I always aim to build strong, positive relationships with both children and their families.
I have my own car, making me flexible and dependable for travel, school runs, and other pick-up or drop-off arrangements if required.
Outside of work, I have three beautiful dogs who are a huge part of my life. I love taking them on long walks and spending time outdoors whenever I can. Family is also incredibly important to me, and I enjoy spending quality time with my nieces and nephews, watching them grow and making special memories together.
My Experience
I have many years of experience working with children across a variety of childcare settings, where I progressed to the role of Deputy Manager. I have also worked as a sole-charge nanny for two wonderful children and was previously an OFSTED-registered nanny, caring for four lovely boys.
I currently work from home for our family-run business while also providing occasional babysitting for a lovely 5-year-old girl. Previously, I regularly cared for two older girls, giving me valuable experience supporting children across a wide range of ages.
I am now looking to take on more occasional babysitting, where I can use my experience, caring nature, and dedication to providing a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for children. My priority is always to ensure children feel secure, supported, and valued, while giving parents complete peace of mind that their children are in trusted and capable hands.
Outside of work, family is incredibly important to me. I am very close to my three nieces and two nephews and love spending time with them, whether they're staying over, enjoying days out together, or simply watching them grow into wonderful individuals. And, of course, I never miss an opportunity to spoil them whenever I can!
