We live in Gedling and both work full time. My daughter is 12 and her personality and learning style aren't suited to mainstream education. She struggles with motivation and lacks self-confidence academically, but responds well to a friendly, fun approach with clear boundaries — without being overtly authoritative.
My Requirements
I'm considering taking my Year 7 daughter out of school to be home educated. I'm looking for a home education provider or tutor to support her with a mix of face-to-face tuition and self-directed learning. Core subjects needed: Maths, English, and Science as a minimum. Experience delivering education outside the traditional school system preferred. Someone with experience of home education who can guide us through the process is essential as it is new to us. Preferably female. Doesn't have to be 5 days a week as long as the work and progress are satisfactory.
