Alice
Part Time Nanny With Special Needs Experience Job In Brighton
About Me
My daughter has special needs and is non verbal (aged 15) and my son is 11.
We live in Ovingdean (10 mins from Brighton by car or bus). I work full time running my own business while juggling the day to day family life and two children in two different schools as well as my daughters additional needs.
I have a supportive partner who also has children that spend every other weekend with us but as my daughter requires 1:1 care including personal hygiene we do require a lot of extra support.
My Requirements
I am looking for help with the following hours:
- 1 or two night shifts a week which involves sleeping in my daughters room through the night and an early wake up with her (anything from 4am but usually more like 5am). You would have to arrive in the evening before and stay over ready for morning shift which would finish by 9am.
Currently we require Friday and Sunday nights but Saturday and Sunday day time hours are also available (10am- 17.00).
In addition there are as job hours when other carers are on holiday or off sick.
As my daughter has special needs and non verbal, I am looking for someone that has some previous experience of working with special needs children (although this is not essential), but you should definitely have experience of working with children.
Regarding communication she is able to use a spelling board to spell out her needs and wants and generally communicate.
Help over school holidays is also needed if extra hours are required and we often want our carer/nanny to join for holidays.
We would love to hear from anyone interested in coming and meeting us. We are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Failed to turn up to work or bother letting me know. Very rude.
