Babysitter with Special Needs Experience Job in London Borough Of Haringey
About Me
I live in a flat in a lovely old building in Muswell Hill with my 2 sons (8 and 15). We are 5 minutes from the shops and 15 minutes walk from Ally Pally/highgate woods. We also have a large shared garden.
I’m looking for a regular weekly babysitter for Thursday evenings for my younger son from 5:30-9:30 (4 hours).
I don’t feel specific Sen experience is required so much as the right approach to kids and your chemistry with my son.
My Requirements
My youngest son will need supervising, dinner and putting to bed. He’s got a lot of energy, loves animals, slime, Minecraft and his friends. We have large shared garden and two neighbours he plays with so often purely supervision and quarrel resolution! But he is deeply sensitive and lacks maturity for his age due to adhd and asc. **Please don’t apply if you intend to try to utilise ABA or any normalising approaches as I don’t feel he needs fixing!
He appreciates support, understanding and patient guidance!
Chemistry is everything for him (trust). If you have a dog, even better as he’s a dog-lover! Feel free to bring your furry friend.

Samia is impeccably polite and considerate, very easy to communicate with (she checks her email and text regularly on her phone) and she has a real calming influence on children. Samia looked after my 5 year old boy 2-3 afternoons a week after Nursery finished at 12pm and in holidays, so that I could work. She would regularly visit the parks and libraries in the area and always made sure there was plenty to do and plenty of healthy snacks. I can definitely recommend Samia as both a babysitter and Childminder.
