My Summary

My Experience

2011- 2015 I worked in a children's soft play area part time providing children with the safety they need, hosting birthday parties for different age groups from 1years-9years. Making sure they are having fun and also playing games with then such as hide and seek, musical statues, sleeping lions etc. I nannied for a 9 month old little boy for 9 months as they were moving away. I took him to local toddler groups once a week so that he could interact with different children of the same age group, also I took him swimming to keep him active, reading books and counting with him. I catered for him by making him nutritional meals morning, noon and evening, as he had special dietary needs such as gluten and wheat free this needed to be put into consideration and I had to make sure he wasn't getting any of the wrong foods. I have worked in a kids camp which is held at a local leisure centre where I am working now which is held during the school holidays. It involved us doing activities like going cinema where we would have to escort them to and from, going swimming, doing arts and crafts with them and other activities in the sports hall which kept them active. I have also done bank work (which is flexible hours being on call when needed in a setting) with some nurseries that I worked in when I was at college as my placement. I have also have experience in lots of babysitting as I have young children in my family and have friends with lots of children. I have looked after them over night, which involved getting up during the night settling them if they are distressed and giving them the attention they need. Also making sure I stick to their routine that they have.

2015- 2016 I worked for another family with 3 children ages 1yrs, 4yrs and 7yrs. They were all lovely children and were a pleasure to work for. My day with them involved me taking the two older children to school in the morning. I then had the whole day with the 1yr old where we did activities like messy play, toddler groups, musical classes, swimming and lots of play dates! They also loved being outside so we spent most of our afternoons after school in the park. I would then go home and make them the right balanced meal they needed. I loved being part of this family and am lucky enough to till remain in contact with them by doing lots of babysitting!

2016- 2019 I work with a 6 year old and 3 year old twins, my job will be coming to an end at the end of August due to the twins starting Primary School. My day with this family consists of school runs, pre school runs, parents help at pre school, arts & crafts, baking, keeping the house in a presentable manor, arranging lots of play date, toddler groups, library trips and just generally making sure the children are having a fun time and learning lots at the same time!

2019-present I work with a 11 year old, 9 year old and a 5 year old. My job consists of planning exciting activities during their school holidays, school drop off and pick up, after school activities, making home made meals, keeping on top of the laundry and keeping the house in a presentable manor.
