Hello, my name is Marzena and I am a fully registered Polish and English-speaking childminder based in Basildon.
I am a friendly, energetic and hardworking person with a genuine passion for working with children. I believe that every child is unique and deserves to feel safe, valued, happy and confident while learning and developing.
? A Safe, Caring & Inspiring Home Environment
I provide childcare from my spacious three-bedroom home, where the entire downstairs area has been thoughtfully adapted and dedicated to my childminding setting.
The setting is fully equipped with a wide range of age-appropriate toys, educational resources and activities, giving children plenty of opportunities to learn, explore and develop across all seven areas of the EYFS.
I also have a small, friendly Shih Tzu, who absolutely loves children and has become a much-loved part of our setting. Children enjoy spending time around her and learning how to interact with animals gently and respectfully.
? Outdoor Learning & Adventures
Children have access to a safe, enclosed garden with a secure locked gate, providing a safe space for outdoor play and exploration.
We are also fortunate to have a small park just behind the house and Northlands Park only around a 5-minute walk away.
As part of our childcare experience, we regularly enjoy:

I believe children learn best when they are having fun, so I provide a balance of structured activities, free play, creativity, physical activity and plenty of opportunities to explore the world around them.

I particularly enjoy arts and crafts, sensory activities and messy play, as these provide children with wonderful opportunities to be creative while developing their confidence, imagination and physical skills.
Every child is supported according to their individual needs, interests and stage of development. I carefully observe children's progress and plan activities that encourage them to develop new skills and reach their full potential.
My aim is to create a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, make friends, build independence and develop the confidence they need for their next steps — including starting school.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since November 2015 and started working with children in my own childminding setting in January 2016.
As a mum myself, I have 18 years of hands-on parenting experience, which has given me a deep understanding of children's individual needs, personalities and different stages of development.
I also have 16 years of personal experience caring for a child with Type 1 Diabetes, including experience with both insulin pens and insulin pumps. This has given me a strong understanding of the additional care, awareness, routines and attention that may be required when supporting a child living with Type 1 Diabetes.
I would be very happy to share my experience and understanding with families whose children may have Type 1 Diabetes or require additional support around their daily routines. I understand how important it is for parents to feel that their child is safe, understood and cared for by someone who is confident around their individual needs.
My experience as a parent and childminder has taught me that every child is different. I believe in creating a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children can feel secure, develop their independence and learn through play.
With over 10 years as a registered childminder and many years of parenting experience, my aim is to provide children with a safe, happy and nurturing home-from-home where they can learn, explore and thrive.

Children in my care will receive 2 main healthy meals a day and 2 snacks included
in the price .
I'm accepting FEEE 2,3&4 years old, student finance, tax free payment, etc.

My son has been attending here for over a year now and will be continuing until he reaches school as he has hit every developmental milestone and has a fantastic time in Marzena’s care.
Previously unhappy with another childminder we chose Marzena and haven’t looked back since, she has absolutely exceeded our expectations.
Where he was a fussy eater previously that is no longer happening, supported us with potty training when we asked and they have such a loving relationship with one another.

Thank you dad for such a kind review ,your boy is absolutely adorable and our journey is a privilage and pleasure .
I really like that Marzena provides a wide variety of activities for the children, many of which take place outdoors. I especially appreciate this because, nowadays, children often spend more time indoors than outside, so I think it is really important for them to have plenty of opportunities to enjoy fresh air, play and explore outdoors.
She also prepares tasty and healthy meals for the children, which I really appreciate.
The setting is always clean, welcoming and pleasant, even though the children have plenty of opportunities to enjoy messy and creative play.
Another thing I really appreciate is that Marzena sends photos every day showing the children’s activities. The photos don’t just show what the children are doing, but you can also see how happy they are and how much they enjoy the activities. It is really lovely to see them having fun and enjoying their time together.
I also really appreciate Marzena’s attitude towards the children. She is both professional and friendly, and it is easy to see how much care, passion and dedication she puts into her work. You can genuinely see that she puts her heart into what she does and really cares about the children’s happiness and wellbeing.

Marzena is the best childminder ever!
We moved the area in September and therefore have no support or family here. All our family live 4 hours away. Marzena has been so supportive, kind, flexible and just brilliant with my two boys. I don’t know how I would have coped without her!
My boys love going to her house. She takes the children to so many groups, play sessions, farms, you name it! She even takes my 2 years old to phonics classes.
Her house is lovely, always clean and lots of different toys for the children to play with. She does her own activities on quieter days, arts, crafts and messy play.
My little boy doesn’t have a bottle anymore and is able to nap at her house with other children (something which took a lot of work and she supported us with).
She has and is continuing to support with toilet training- now moving on to a seat on the toilet.
Nothing is ever a problem, she is so laid back, kind, caring, fun and proactive.
The Christmas crafts and gifts were the best and she even remembered my birthday 🩷
The children and well fed and Marzena cooks lovely meals and healthy snacks.
I get regular updates through pictures sent to my phone.
I know my children are loved and cared for when they go to her house and I never have to worry 🤍🤍

Marzena, is amazing, her care and love for the children is beyond what we could have hoped for, they are never bored and always busy with lots of playing, learning and trips out. Absolutely gutted that our time is nearing its end with my little one going to school in September, I feel like no amount of time here would be enough. I highly recommend using Marzena for your childcare, I wish we had been able to use her from the beginning of our childcare journey. Absolutely 1 of a kind ❤️

Absolutely amazing . Alessia LOVES going to Marzena .She can’t wait to go to play with children and learn new things, and she does lots of activities with the children. Marzena is always very friendly and welcoming and answer any questions we have. The setting it’s very nice and clean with lots of toys and things to do for children.I cant recommend this place high enough, would be more than 5 stars. Thank you for doing such a great job .

We couldn't ask for a better service. Our nearly 2.5 years old daughter absolutely loves the place and as soon as we tell her that she is going to "auntie", she is getting excited and starts to put her shoes on. She always got other kids to play with in the house and Marzena organise them different activities every day. The childminder is always helpful and tries to be flexible as much as possible. Highly recommended.
