Zeya
Childminder in London
My Summary
Ofsted Registered Childminder Private Tutor
About Me
I provide a warm, calm and nurturing home environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to learn, explore and grow, my focus is on creating strong foundations during the important early years through play, routine, positive relationships and meaningful experiences. Every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to develop at their own pace.
My aim is to create a peaceful yet stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure and confident. Through a thoughtful balance of structured learning, child-led activities, free play, outdoor experiences and regular adventures, children are supported in developing their communication, independence, confidence, social skills and curiosity about the world around them.
Learning Through Play
Our days are varied, engaging and designed around the ages, interests and developmental needs of the children. Activities and experiences include:
• Early literacy, phonics and communication support
• Numeracy through play-based learning
• Story time, books, songs and language development
• Creative play, arts and crafts
• Sensory and exploratory activities
• Role play and imaginative play
• Outdoor play and nature walks
• Confidence, independence and social skills development
• Quiet time, relaxation and emotional wellbeing support
• Age-appropriate structured learning activities
• Plenty of opportunities for child-led and free play
Children benefit from a small-group setting, allowing me to provide individual attention, close support and a calmer atmosphere where I can really get to know each child’s personality, interests, strengths and individual needs.
Regular Days Out & Adventures
Learning is not limited to the home. We regularly enjoy carefully planned days out and educational adventures to farms, zoos, aquariums, museums, parks, nature trails, libraries and other exciting child-friendly attractions.
These experiences are much more than simply a day out. They give children opportunities to experience the wider world first-hand, discover new environments, meet animals, explore nature and develop their understanding through real experiences. Outings naturally encourage conversation, new vocabulary, curiosity, confidence, independence and social interaction while supporting different areas of the EYFS.
Whether we are discovering marine life at an aquarium, meeting animals at a farm, exploring an interactive museum or spending the day enjoying a beautiful park, I want children to have a childhood filled with exploration, discovery and happy memories.
All outings and activities are thoughtfully planned with children’s ages, abilities, individual needs and safety in mind.
My Approach
I provide a gentle, caring and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, happy and respected. I encourage positive behaviour, kindness, good manners, consideration for others and age-appropriate independence, helping children develop confidence and positive social values from an early age.
I believe the early years are extremely important in shaping a child’s confidence, wellbeing and understanding of the world around them. I consider myself a positive role model and educator and aim to provide a wholesome, child-focused environment. I promote respectful behaviour, appropriate language and modest presentation, allowing children to enjoy their childhood positively and innocently without unnecessary exposure to inappropriate influences.
Emotional wellbeing is just as important as learning. Children are given reassurance, encouragement and time to settle, form secure relationships and become confident within the setting.
Personalised Care & Family Partnership
I understand how important it is for parents to feel reassured that their child is in a safe, caring and dependable environment. I work closely with families to understand each child’s individual personality, routine, interests, wellbeing and developmental needs.
Each child can benefit from a personalised daily or weekly schedule tailored to their needs, alongside personalised updates throughout the day so parents can remain connected to their child’s experiences, activities and progress.
Open communication with families is important to me, and I aim to build positive and trusting relationships so that we can work together to provide consistency between home and the setting.
The Environment
• A clean, safe, welcoming and calm home setting

Moved to the area recently and found Zeya on the childcare app and we are very happy we’ve chosen her. She is very compassionate about childcare, teaching and boundaries which is something that was a struggle for my son. He hasn’t been there long but has adapted very well to a homely loving environment. He is a happy Chap and his days are full of activities

Thank you so much for your lovely review and your kind words. It truly means a lot to me, especially as Kairo has only recently joined my setting.
I’m so grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for your support. It has been a pleasure getting to know Kairo and seeing his personality shine. I look forward to continuing to support his learning, development and confidence in a happy, safe and nurturing environment.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Zakiya provides backup care for our twins when our usual childminder is unavailable. She's super reliable and responsive, always sends updates and photos, and our children love going to her house. They particularly love doing yoga and showing us the new moves they've learnt when they come home! We would absolutely recommend her to other families.

We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Zakya for the past year, during which she has worked as an assistant to our main childminder, Sarah. Zakya also stepped in to cover for Sarah at her own property for a week while Sarah was on leave. During that time, she provided outstanding care for our son.
Zakya is incredibly professional, warm, and trustworthy. Her communication is excellent—she speaks perfect English and always keeps us well-informed. She created a fun, safe, and engaging environment for the children, with plenty of thoughtful activities. Our son especially loved the outdoor space at her home, which included a sandpit & trampoline, and was suitable for play all year round.
She also cares for her own young daughter, who is absolutely lovely and gets on very well with our son. We are very happy with the care Zakya gave our child and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families.

Zakiya creates such a homely, welcoming environment our kids feel completely at ease with her. The space is always clean and tidy when we return, and she even puts care into preparing healthy meals the kids enjoy. Communication is great too; she's always clear, responsive, and thoughtful with updates. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Zakiya has been looking after my son since just before his second birthday. She provides a warm and nurturing environment in her lovely home which is stimulating and safe. My son is very happy in Zakiya’s care and I have total confidence that he is being well cared for. Zakiya provides daily updates and photos which I love and find really helpful when I am talking to my son about his day. I know exactly what he has eaten, how he has slept and what learning experiences he has had. I feel very lucky to have found Zakiya and would recommend her to any other local families who are looking for a ‘home from home’ environment for their little one.

Zakyiah looked after my daughter as an assistant and also as the main carer at her lovely home. She has been great at creating a bond with her although she does not warm easily to new people. She is professional and trustworthy, also very attentive and gives detailed feedback, send many photos throughout the day and daily update. She has also offered advice on sleeping and is always happy to have a chat. Would definitely recommend!

Keya is a lovely, caring experienced childminder.
She made me feel at ease leaving my daughter for the first time. My daughter bonded well with her and never wanted to leave at the end of the day. She provided advice with sleep routines and gave me support with my daughter’s fussy eating habits.
Zeya’s setting is homely and she provides stimulating activities to keep children entertained and busy. She sends daily updates with photo’s of what children are doing during day and activities are both educational and fun. She provides healthy meals and variety of food to cover all dietary requirements. My daughter who is usually very attached to me is happy to spend time with Zeya and always comes out happy and smiley at the end of the day.
