My Requirements

I am looking for a reliable and caring childminder to support me with my three children (aged 11, 8, and 4) in Chigwell. This is not a full-time role — I need someone who can step in for a few hours each week where I cannot be in two places at once, mainly around after-school runs, activities, and weekends. There may also be occasional extra hours during school holidays.

About the children:
- My eldest (11) enjoys football, swimming, and his PS5.
- My middle child (8) loves performing, singing, dancing, and gymnastics. She is dyslexic, so patient support with homework and reading is important.
- My youngest (4) is lively, imaginative, and loves dressing up, role play, and creative play.

Balancing the children’s age-appropriate needs:
- After-school collections and runs to activities.
- Staying at home with the children while I take one to an activity (and vice-versa).
- Supporting homework and reading, with patient support for dyslexia.
- Providing play, supervision, and engaging activities at home.
- Helping with simple meals/snacks and evening routines.
- Weekend support of a similar nature.

Ideal person:
- Registered childminder or strong childcare experience.
- SEN/dyslexia experience preferred.
- Warm, patient, and engaging with children of different ages.
- Driving licence helpful but not essential.
- Based locally in or near Chigwell.

Hours: A few hours per week (mainly after school and weekends), with possible extra needs during school holidays.

Start date: Flexible, ideally October 2025.
