About Me
Nanny available to look after one young child. Home educating 3 children, a boy age 4, girl age 7 and toddler boy 2 years old. My children love having a playmate to connect with & join them on their daily adventures. My style is influenced by Montessori & Charlotte Mason. I take the kids out in my electric Cargo Bike that seats 4 kids. I focus on nature study, gardening, arts & crafts, baking, practical life activity alongside literacy and numeracy.
My Experience
(Feb 2020 - Dec 2020) Part-time after nursery Nanny - a girl aged 4 (Mon & Fri) 11:30-15:30, pick up from nursery. Looked after her 5 days per week due to lockdown.
(Mar 2019 - Dec 2020) Part-time Nanny - a boy age 18 months, was 2 days (Mon & Wed) 8 -17:00 - now one day (Tue).
(Nov 2017 - April 2018) Full-Time nanny/After school Nanny - 18 months girl, alongside her older brother age 5 for after school pick up and my daughter who was 5 months older than the toddler (4 days per week 8:30-18:00). This toddler is now in Forest School nursery full time.
(Sept 2016 - June 2016) Part-Time after school Nanny - alongside my daughter who was 8 months when I started (3 days per week 15:15 - 19:30) for three older children (10,13,15). I picked up from school, cooked meals, helped with homework and did ironing & cleaned the kitchen. The youngest started secondary school after the summer and no longer needed a nanny.
(July 2009 - Sept 2015) After school nanny/babysitter - I looked after 2 girls with 7 years age gap since the oldest was 7 years old and the youngest was 3. I did this around twice a month on average, with periods of 2 weeks of 5 days per week after school (until 19:00), on an ongoing basis for 8 years. I would do overnight babysitting about every 5 weeks or so with these girls.
(Sept 2011 - July 2012) Teaching Assistant and school escort - working with SEN and children with behavioural needs in a special school & pupil referral unit, ages 8-16. I also did regular volunteering over 4 years (2007-2011) with children in foster care age 7 - 14 for a mentoring & advocacy charity.

My Availability
Currently expecting 4th child in mid Aug 2023. I expect this will give interruption to any childcare I can offer.
