Kelly
Childminder in Brentford
My Summary
About Me
Hello, and welcome! I’m an experienced, Ofsted-registered childminder based in Brentford (TW8), where I provide a warm, loving, and stimulating home-from-home environment for children to learn, play, and flourish.
I have dedicated my entire career to working with children. After leaving school at 16, I began working in a local nursery, where I spent over 13 wonderful years progressing my career while gaining my NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Childcare. For the past 19 years, I have been a registered childminder, supporting children through their early years and giving them the best possible start in life. My most recent Ofsted inspection took place in November 2022.
I truly believe that children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and loved. My aim is to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and confident to explore the world around them. I carefully plan activities around each child’s interests and stage of development, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), while making sure every day is filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences.
My home offers a large, secure garden where children can enjoy outdoor play all year round. We love gardening together, growing flowers, fruit, and vegetables, helping children develop an understanding of nature while encouraging curiosity and responsibility. Inside, I provide a wide range of toys, books, and creative activities to inspire learning through play.
We are an active setting and enjoy spending time out in the community. Most mornings you’ll find us exploring local parks, attending playgroups, visiting libraries, enjoying music sessions, meeting up with other childminders for playdates, or taking part in seasonal activities. These outings help children build confidence, develop social skills, and create wonderful memories.
Our friendly family pets are also a much-loved part of the setting and bring lots of enjoyment to the children, helping them learn about kindness, gentle care, and respect for animals.
One of the things I value most is the close relationships I build with families. I believe parents and childminders work best as a team, and I pride myself on providing excellent communication, trust, and support throughout your child’s journey. Many of the families I have cared for over the years remain in touch long after their children have started school, and I feel incredibly privileged to have been part of so many children’s early lives.
I am fortunate to have many happy families who are happy to provide references and share their experiences of my setting.
My home is conveniently located in Brentford, close to the A4 and M4, less than five minutes from Sky, around 15 minutes from Chiswick, making drop-offs and collections easy for commuting parents.
Choosing childcare is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I strive to create a caring, stimulating environment where children feel at home, build confidence, develop friendships, and make happy memories every single day.
I would love the opportunity to welcome your family and answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to get in touch—I look forward to hearing from you.

Our son started going to Kelly when he was just 10 months old, at the time I had to go back to work. It was a very emotional and difficult period for us. As foreigners, with no family around to support us, finding the right person felt overwhelming. We didn’t just need a childminder — we needed someone we could truly trust.
From day one, Kelly listened to all my worries and concerns. She was patient, understanding and reassuring. She is warm-hearted and genuinely caring, but at the same time a real professional. That balance meant everything to us.
Now our son is 3 years old and he has been thriving in her care. He is happy, confident and secure, and we can clearly see how much he has grown thanks to the safe and nurturing environment she provides.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better childminder for our son. Kelly quickly became like family to us. There is no doubt that when we have a second child, they will go to her as well.

Kelly was recommended to me by our next door neighbour who has three lovely children that went to Kelly when they were young. It has been the best recommendation ever! Kelly is caring, thoughtful ,super organised and a wonderful person. Our daughter has loved her time there and is always happy and smiling when I drop her off and pick her up. I would recommend Kelly to anyone I know!

Kelly has been with our family as our childminder since my eldest was 10 months. She’s now 10, her brother is 7, and her sister is 4, they’ve all stayed with Kelly and the youngest finished with her in the summer.
I trust her implicitly and regard her as family. She does so much with them, such as arts, crafts, development things - she follows an early years curriculum, which I can honestly say I would never have done with the kids myself. They are enriched because of the activities she plans. They are all very socially capable too, it’s a great environment for them to be in and it builds their confidence. I always sing her praises, and two of my eldest’s teachers have gone on to place their children with her.
Kelly is great and I couldn’t haven’t done without her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

My daughter attended a creche for six months and cried everyday I dropped her off. She wouldnt eat or sleep. On Evas second day with Kelly she was running out the door to greet her. I cannot recommend Kelly enough. She is caring, compassioate, patient and provides a home away from home for my daughter. I have the assurance that when Eva is minded by Kelly, she will be loved and cared for and its such a relief. Kelly has a wonderful way with children and encourages their development and learning. Kelly is also very flexible in terms of hours which can be so helpful when sickness is an issue.

Kelly looks after both my children Poppy (7) and Barnaby (3) and she is great. They both love going & have so much fun. I really like that Kelly goes to lots of playgroups & does outings with the pre-schoolers and has now got a season pass to Hounslow Farm, meaning they are not just inside but out & about enjoying a variety of activities. Even if they are not out when at Kelly's they do lots of playing, drawing, baking & games.
Kelly loves the children as her own & really makes sure they are happy.
Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a good, flexible, reliable, friendly & fab childminder!

My little boy Noah has been with Kelly since September 2014. He is my first child and like any new mum I was so scared of leaving him with anyone. Well I need not have worried. Kelly is the best childminder I could ever have wished for my son. She treats him like her own, so caring and he is so well looked after. He has a huge smile on his face when I drop him off in the mornings and he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up!! Noah had severe reflux up until he was 8 months old so Kelly had 2 months of having to give him medication twice a day everyday and coping with a very sicky baby who didn't sleep very much at all. Kelly handled it all so well, which believe me was hard work! Kelly is always taking the kids to playgroups or to the park, library or to feed the ducks - she reads them stories and plays games with them. They do painting and baking etc. etc. etc. - it's no wonder he doesn't want to leave. I would recommend Kelly to anyone <3
