About Me
Little Learners is a place where children can learn in a nurturing, caring, happy and safe environment. Little Learners is a family run setting, we work together with families to provide tailored individual learning of all the children in our care.
I work alongside my Husband Graham who is a registered childminder with Ofsted.
We have 3 children aged 29, 22 and 21 years old, I have worked for over 19 years within early years sector.
I hold a BA honors in early years, Graham has his HBCC which is level 3.
We are registered to accept children from birth, we accept Early Years Funding for children aged 9 months to 4 years. We do encourage children to attend a larger setting the term after their 3 birthday to enhance their learning and development.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 19 years, previously I was a duty at a preschool based setting for 8 years then I became I a childminder which I have been doing now for almost 12 years and strongly believe a home from home setting provides children with confidence with separation from their family.
Graham has worked alongside me for the last 2 years, he was previously chairman at a preschool in 2013-2015.
Graham has his Paediatric first aid and Safeguarding.
We meet up regularly with a few other childminders which allows the children to learn and develop within a larger group, therefore they are getting many different experiences within smaller and larger groups.

My son started with Sarah and Graham when he was just 9 months old, and as a first-time mum, leaving him with someone else was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. From day one, they made the transition so much easier, offering reassurance, support, and genuine care that helped me feel completely comfortable.
The love, kindness, and attention they show to the children is second to none. He was always so happy to go there every day, and I knew he was being cared for in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. They have played such an important role in his early years, helping him grow in confidence and supporting his development every step of the way.
Sarah and Graham have become a huge part of our lives, and I am genuinely gutted that he won't be going there anymore as he starts school. I honestly couldn't have asked for more from them. They have looked after him as if he were one of their own, and for that I will always be grateful.
Thank you for everything you have done for our family. We will miss you enormously, and I cannot recommend you highly enough

My son started at Sarah and Graham back in 2021 until he started reception. He loved it so much that it felt like a home away from his home. He is confident, happy and thriving, transition into reception was a breeze, he learnt valuable social skills at Sarah and Graham which made it easy for him to adapt to a more structured day. Needless to say he loved it so much that I sent my daughter to Sarah and Graham when she was 1 years old in 2025, and she loves going visit her friends.
Sarah and Graham have always been so accommodating and always happy to help, whether its help with potty training, brushing teeth and healthy eating habits. The children naturally gravitate to them and always have something fulfilled planned for the children like arts and crafts, baking, water play in the garden or a trip to the park.
I am so grateful that my children have had such a wonderful experience in their early learning.

My preschool age daughter has recently started with Butterflies Childcare and it is excellent. Laura and Sarah are professional, friendly, qualified, caring individuals and my daughter now loves going. The first week she did fruit picking and made some jam! Highly recommended.
