About Me
I am a mother of two, Oliver who will be 7 in Sept and Matthew who is 5. We live in Heysham with my husband Stuart. I love spending time with my boys having fun and adventures. We love being in the garden getting wet and messy. I enjoy spending time with my friends socializing.
My Experience
I gave up teaching in primary schools after 12 years in August 2015. I have taught here in Morecambe, in Blyth, Northumberland and in Blackpool. I loved working in early years and key stage 1. Since having children I have discovered a real passion for early years and the importance of development in early childhood. My boys attended a child minder and so I have spent time observing outstanding childcare in a home setting.
Through my experience as a teacher I believe I am able to prepare children for school so that they are able to fulfil their full potential.
I have worked with a number of children with additional needs and I am able to work in partnership with parents and other agencies to cater for their needs ensuring the child to challenge themself and achieve their potential.
My Qualifications
BSc in mathematics and primary education with QTS
Level 1 and 2 safeguarding
Paediatric first aid
Solihull approach to behaviour management
Food hygiene
My Availability
I am available from 8am till 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Term time only
Before and after school care from 8am and until 5.30pm, early drop off can be negotiated.
