About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda , I am interested in finding new families for babysitting. I am also looking for a new part time nanny family. I am ideally looking for 3-4 days a week (including a Tuesday ideally). Happy to discuss term time only 5 days or all year 3-4 days. Available from mid August and to be employed under the PAYE scheme.
I am a calm and fun nanny, who loves planning activites and outings which are both fun and stimulating at the same time, I love to help and see children learning new things without realising they are doing so. I am firm but fair, if the children want to try something new and it is safe to do so, then I will let them while keeping a close eye on them and being there for them if they don't like it
I am also looking for families who are looking for a qualified and experienced nanny as a babysitter for those odd or regular nights out. I have my own son who is 12 yrs old, he would stay at home with my husband while I was babysitting or families looking for evening care/help or in school holidays. I am also looking for a new nanny employer.
My Experience
I am a fully qualified nanny, I gained my NNEB 27 years ago and since then have been working in day nurseries and as a private nanny for families here in the UK and overseas,
During the 8 years I worked in day nurseries I was working mainly with the under 2's, I was then with my first nanny family for 4 years from when the youngest was just 3 weeks, I only left them as she started full time school, I did some temp nanny work after that and then started a full time nanny post in May 2010 for a family who had 2 girls, they were aged 9 weeks and 5 at the start of the post, I left them in October 2012 to have my own little boy.
I then returned to work, working for a family with two children aged 3 and 5, 3 afternoons and one full day a week, my son came with me to this post.
I then worked for a family who had 2 children aged 3 and 1 at the start, 2 full days a week, and I was with them for nearly 2 yrs, I left as the youngest started school nursery so they didn’t need me anymore.
I then moved on to working for a family who had a 10 month old 3 days a week, I had also been doing ad hoc work for them since she was 5 months old, I was with them until she was 2.
I was working for a family 4 days a week with 2 children who were 11 months and 3, when I started nearly 6 yrs ago, I have just left them due to a change in their circumstances.
I am currently working in a school nursery 5 days a week
I also have lots of multiple experience.
I would require the nanny family to use the PAYE scheme and can recommend a payroll company.
My Qualifications
I have my NNEB, CACHE advanced baby practitioner award, sleeptite nanny maternity and advanced nanny certificates, I also have a current first aid certificate, a DBS certificate, level 2 food hygiene, and nanny insurance. I am registered with ofsted currently.
My Availability
I am looking for a new part time nanny family (ideally 3-4 days a week) from mid August. I am also looking for families who are looking for babysitting ad hoc or regularly.

Amanda looked after our children, now 9 and 7, for 6 years. She has been an excellent Nanny and we cant recommend her enough. She is super reliable, punctual and you can trust her to cover whatever the kids need, school, activities, health appointments etc. She is great with kids and our children thrived in her care. She is personable, tidy, trustworthy and honest. We no longer need a nanny, but we stay in touch and Amanda remains our first choice babysitter. Another family is going to be very lucky to have Amanda!

Amanda has looked after our children (aged 5 and 3) for almost 2 years, including one who is under review for SEN. She has been an excellent Nanny and we are very sorry to see her go (due to our children starting at nursery/school). I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is always punctual and professional, and the children adore her.

Amanda has babysat for my kids a few times and they warmed to her straight away! There was almost a year between nights when "Panda" as my 2 yr old calls her babysat for us and she very kindly came round the week before our night out to reintroduce herself to the kids and make sure they were at ease with her. On the night we flew out the door with kids waving bye not so much as a tear. I felt so comfortable leaving the kids with Amanda. She text when they had been settled in bed to let me know how they were getting on which also just really put my mind at rest. She is always on time, tidy, personable, friendly, great with kids, trustworthy and honest. Would absolutely recommend her 5 stars!!

Amanda has been looking after our little boy of 15 months for a few months now. She has always been on time and on arriving, immediately starts chatting with and engaging our son. She is lovely and looks after him well, feeding him, playing with him, taking him out and putting him to bed. Also, she is very good at tidying up after him, cleaning his toys and so on. I would very much recommend Amanda!
