About Me
Hi there! My name is Alyx and I’m 25 years old. I am one of the oldest of 6 children so caring for children came pretty early on in my life and it’s safe to say that it’s my greatest passion. I’ve always worked in childcare and couldn’t think of another area I would ever want to work in!
I currently work in a private Nursery as an Early Years Educator and am working predominantly with 2 year olds at the moment, but have experience with most ages.
I’m based in the Bletchingley/Redhill area but work in the Caterham area and have means to travel if needed.
My Experience
I grew up in a large family and (myself being one of the oldest) I did a lot of the babysitting for aunts, uncles and parents. I studied health and social care at college which included several hours of work experience in a childcare setting which I enjoyed so much I carried on attending the placement longer than the course required. I have worked in a day nursery, caring for children aged 0-5 years, I was a nanny to an incredible 7 year old for almost 2 years, worked as deputy manager in a breakfast and after school club in an infants school, until my passion for the Early Years led me back to a private nursery where I gained my Level 3 in Early Years Education and continue to work on my career progression there.
I also did some temp nannying through the holidays for a few families in and around my local area with children aged 7months to 5 years. I have a DBS on the update service, first aid training and plenty of references.

English and Maths GCSEs

First Aid Qualified
On The Job training in Child Development, Safeguarding, Food Handling, Health and Safety, British Values, SENCO, and Equality & Inclusion.
My Availability
I currently work full time in a nursery so am currently only available for babysitting or nannying in evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
