My Experience

I have over 10 years' experience of childcare and development working within a leading independent school, ultimately as a Room Leader.
I managed and supervised a team of Early Years Professionals to provide a safe and secure introduction to Early Years school life through a nurturing environment As a team we achieved, prior to my leaving, the accolade of `Outstanding` from the Independent Schools Inspectorate - a hard earned achievement!
Encouraging parents and carers involvement, for the benefit of the child, to establish strong home-school partnerships. Supporting children's development with a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities by providing weekly planning achieved by ongoing observations based on individual children's interests and abilities, to foster critical thinking skills, curiosity and learning.
Over 35 years experience of private child-minding and babysitting within private households (newborn to teenager).
Particular interest in achieving sleep and feeding routines for young babies and supporting tired mothers.

My Qualifications

Key qualifications and expertise :
- 10 years experience working within the kindergarten of an independent school.
- DBS checked (December 2014). Enhanced Certificate.
- Pediatric First Aid trained.
- Educated up to Degree Level 5 in Early Years Education (July 2011) with commendation for consistent high marks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Standards.
- Experience working with SEN children.
- Confident driver with full clean UK Drivers License.
- Many years of private after school and holiday care cover (newborn to teenage).
- Twin experience.
- Organized and meticulous attention to detail.
- Very competent cook (ran own catering business for 4 years).
- Excellent multi-tasker with good house-keeping skills.
- Confident to work independently, make decisions, use initiative and be proactive.
- Adept at encouraging children with eating, resting and personal cleanliness within their daily routine.
- Discretion in handling private issues discreetly ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written,
- Pet friendly - we have a fox red Labrador, cat and horse.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)

Currently my fees are £15 / hour. I am happy to discuss these rates in person with you.

RECENT WORK
I have worked with a lovely family helping out in every way with their 2.5 year old and newborn twins as well as supporting their parents and general household duties. I have also acted as ‘proxy parent’ while their parents have travelled abroad as well as offering ‘date night’ babysitting. Once the twins started nursery I was free to look for new family who required a ‘Mary Poppins!”
For the past 2 years I have been working with another family who have 2 boys. They were 6 months and 4 years old when I started but now the youngest is 3 and at nursery so once again I am free to find another family to help.
I have had both of my Covid jabs and my booster and can provide many references.
