About the Role
We are seeking a calm, reliable and experienced SEN childcarer/support worker to provide flexible support for two boys (aged 11 and 14) with autism, dyspraxia, anxiety and related neurodiverse needs.
The role includes:
Providing a consistent minimum of 4 hours weekly support, with flexibility for additional sessions as needed
Covering medical appointments during school hours for a homeschooled child
Being available for ad-hoc or overnight care during emergencies
Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and positive daily routines
Completing brief reports and admin notes to assist with EHCP evidence and Direct Payment record-keeping

Essential Requirements
Self-employed status (registered with HMRC)
Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults Workforce)
12-hour Paediatric First Aid (face-to-face)
Proven experience supporting children with autism, anxiety and sensory needs
Excellent record-keeping and communication skills
Calm, patient and professional approach

Background in SEN education, youth support, health or social care
Driver with business insurance
Confident liaising with schools, health or social care professionals
