About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Child Minder. I have availability from September '26 for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, ful days. I Live in Willington with my husband and my 2 children. I have 10 years experience working with children as a Nursery Practioner, and 10 years as a child minder. My home is spacious, warm and welcoming with a good size enclosed garden. I take children out into the local environments, nature reserves, playgroups, childminder meet ups, and other places. We have 2 small dogs, Bailey almost 7, and Bentley 2 years old. Both have been with us from 12 weeks old, and are used to children being in the home.
My Experience
I have 10 years working experience as a Nursery Practitioner in a private day nursery working from birth in the durham area and now moved into child minding. I have experience of planning, assessments and childrens learning and development. I have newborn experience through to teens. I have experience of working with children that have speech and language delays as well as developmental delays. My aim is to offer a loving, warm environment where you child can play as they learn. Free play will always be on offer, as will activities that promote and develop all areas of learning and development. Assessments and observations will be carried out that are required by Ofsted, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage as requested by D of E for childminders. Your child will learn from the indoor, outdoors and the local environment. I am a caring individual and understands that each child is an individual, they all learn at different levels and pace. Extra support will be given with transitions to childminder for those children that need extra support and comforting as they have not been looked after by anyone other than family members.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, learning and development.
Pedriatric 12 hr first aid training
Safeguarding level 2 /3
I attend as many courses as i can provided by the local authority, to keep my own knowledge and development up to date, changes to EYFS, DCC and Ofsted guideline changes, and to support children with new methods of learning.
My Availability
I am available from 8.00 am - 6pm. I am able to offer 9 month to 2yr old, 2 year working family, and 3/4 yr old funded places. From September 2026, I will have 3 days available - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I do not offer half day requirements, only full days between the hours of 8.30/6pm with a minimum of 2 days. I do not work weekends or Bank Holidays.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Hourly rate, if applicable outside of funded hours, or non funded = £6 per hour.
