About Me

Hello, my name is Carmen. I am 54 years old, originally from Seville, Spain, and the sixth of eight siblings. I was raised in a warm and loving home, full of respect, care, and always with delicious home-cooked meals on the table.

I am Ofsted registered and hold certificates in First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Safety, and many other qualifications that continue to enhance my knowledge and skills in childcare.

I’ve been surrounded by children all my life — from helping my older siblings care for their little ones when I was young, to raising my own three daughters, who are now 11, 21, and 30 years old.

I have worked with children for over 14 years. I started as a nanny and later qualified as a childminder, a role I’ve proudly held for the last 10 years. I recently moved to a new home and now have spaces available for new children.

I do school runs to Torridon School and provide care for young children in a warm, home-from-home environment.

I live with my partner Peter, my daughters Andrea (11) and Marina (21), and our friendly cat Simba. My home is equipped with age-appropriate educational toys, and I offer a safe and stimulating environment where children are loved, nurtured, and treated like part of the family.

We enjoy a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, painting (I have a degree in Restoration and Art), story time, and outdoor adventures. I regularly take the children to the forest, playgroups, the library, the farm, museums, and other cultural and educational outings.

I am passionate about healthy eating and cook fresh, balanced meals from scratch every day using high-quality ingredients.
