Hello I'm Jo, I live in Byfleet and I have 22years childcare experience working with children of all ages from newborn upwards.
I’m hardworking, trustworthy, nurturing and fun and have excellent references. I settle in quickly with new families and create strong bonds (I’m still in touch with my first ever nanny family and the boys are now 23 and 20!)
I enjoy baking with children and putting my A-levels in art and textiles to use with arts and crafts, visiting toddler groups, going on days out, meeting other Nannies, using passes for National Trust, Wisley, canal walks and I can also help with homework.
I enjoy cooking and like to experiment with foods to provide healthy nutritious meals for the children I care for. I’m also happy to muck in around the house to make life easier for busy parents - emptying the dishwasher, doing clothes washing, tidying up, running errands etc.
I’m a mum of 2 girls, a 10yr old and a 6yr old who are at school in West Byfleet.
I’m a safe driver with a clean licence and would prefer to use a work car rather than my own, however if necessary I can use mine for 45p/mile and a monthly clean.
I currently work at the school my children attend in West Byfleet as a Learning Support Assistant. I’ve been nannying for a family that I’ve been with for 5years for 2 afternoons after school (3.15-6.30pm) alongside this but unfortunately this is coming to an end after the summer.
I’m ideally looking for a similar after school nanny role to work alongside my school role.
Happy to help in the holidays too or keep it term time only.

In my most recent role my youngest daughter attended with me and my eldest would also come on ad hoc days. As the children I nannied were the same ages as my own children, I’ve had experience looking after ‘multiples’ and I’ve also worked in a nanny share previously.
(I’m not looking to bring my children with me - I’m very lucky that my mum is able to help in holidays!)

My Availability
I’ve been with my current family since 2020 firstly working as a sole charge nanny for 3 days a week which reduced to 2 after school days and school holiday cover from 2024. Unfortunately they no longer need me for after school care after the summer holidays so I’m looking to find a similar role.
Ideally I’m looking for 2/3 after school days per week (ideally In West Byfleet as I work in a school during the day) and I can also work some days in the school holidays too. Please get in touch if you think we could work together.

Jo started with us in Sept 2020 when our children were 4 and 1 and we've never looked back!
She's a brilliantly skilled nanny in all ways and is so creative in the activities she finds to do with children of all ages (our range has been 1-8), our kids absolutely love her. Jo has helped them develop through all aspects of toddler, preschool and junior age and they (and we) appreciate it so much. Creative activities, delicious food, potty training, lockdown homeschooling, fun outdoor times, after school playdates, caring for them when poorly, the morning rush - she's fantastic at it all. She loves the outdoors and finding fun in every weather. Her experience as a nanny in the local area means there's always a great place to visit and friends to do it with which has also helped our children develop their social side!
Jo's children are the same age as ours and her younger child has always come with her which has given our youngest a wonderful friend. Having seen Jo manage them both at the same age I can see she would be great with twins or more! Our older children are also firm friends and when the 4 are together it's clear Jo would be as fabulous with a bigger family as she is with ours.
Jo is highly organised, practical and flexible and shows this every day. She's always on time, she's patient and kind even on the most "toddler" of days. Having her in our life makes such a difference to our ability juggle work and home, both practically and emotionally.
Our youngest is starting school in September so we unfortunately don't need Jo for as many hours but we know she will be a fabulous addition to another family as well!
