Welcome to Little Monsters Childcare!
I’m Anna, a registered childminder running my own fun, friendly and homely childcare setting in Chells Manor, Stevenage.
As a mum to an now-adult child, I know how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with your little one. My aim is to create a home-from-home environment where children feel safe, loved, happy and confident to be themselves.

I believe children learn best when they are having fun, being curious and given the freedom to explore. My setting offers a variety of activities and resources suitable for different ages, stages and abilities, with plenty of opportunities for children to follow their own interests.
We make great use of our local parks, green spaces and woodland areas, giving the children opportunities to explore nature, get some fresh air, get a little muddy and experience the world around them.
Alongside all the fun, I plan activities and experiences that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). I also love helping children develop their independence, confidence and social skills and preparing them for their next big adventure — including their transition to school.

Before becoming a childminder over 10 years ago, I worked in a successful childcare setting for 4 years, where I was a key person to more than 50 children.
This gave me lots of experience supporting children at different ages and stages, understanding their individual needs and interests, and building strong relationships with both children and their families.
I understand that every child is different, and I take the time to get to know each child as an individual.

I know that finding childcare isn't just about finding the right person for your child — it's also about finding someone who understands and supports you as a parent.
I pride myself on being approachable, flexible and easy to communicate with. I will always do my best to accommodate families' individual needs and work together with parents to make sure their child is happy, settled and thriving.
And, of course, no Little Monsters introduction would be complete without mentioning our 4-year-old dog, who has grown up around my childcare career and is part of our home environment. ?
I also hold a full UK driving licence, which means we can make the most of the wonderful outdoor spaces and activities around us.

At Little Monsters Childcare, I want children to feel that they can play, explore, laugh, learn, get messy and simply be themselves.
My goal is to provide a happy childhood environment where every little monster feels safe, valued and encouraged to grow in their own way. ??

My Experience
Before starting Little Monsters Childcare over 10 years ago, I worked for 4 years in a very successful home-based childcare setting, gaining valuable experience caring for children from birth through to 11 years old.
During my time there, I was a key person to more than 50 children, building strong relationships with the children in my care and supporting them through their individual stages of development.
I have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs and individual circumstances, including children with special educational needs, children subject to child protection plans and children who required additional support with their behaviour and emotions. This experience has helped me develop a calm, patient and understanding approach, while recognising that every child is unique.
I also held a supervisory role, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities, organising outings and ensuring children's observations, records and other relevant paperwork were kept up to date.
Over the years, I have developed strong communication skills and have become confident in working closely with parents and families. I strongly believe that positive partnerships between childcare providers and parents are essential to ensuring children feel happy, secure and supported.
I bring all of this experience into Little Monsters Childcare, alongside my passion for creating a fun, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop at their own pace.

I regularly undertake additional training and courses to keep my knowledge and practice up to date. I believe that professional development is an important part of being a childminder, and I am committed to continuing to learn and develop my knowledge across all areas of childcare.
My ongoing training helps me to ensure that I can support children's learning, development, health, wellbeing and safeguarding needs, while providing a fun, welcoming and stimulating environment at Little Monsters Childcare.

Anna looked after my 2 children for just over a year.
She is fantastic with the children, treating them like her own. They loved her!
From day one she put me at ease, keeping in contact throughout the day so I knew my girls were ok, although I was never in doubt.
The children took part in a variety of activities and outings in their time with Anna and at the end of their time with Anna she handed me a folder for each of the girls with pictures and write up from their time, beginning to end, which was lovely!
I would recommend Anna to anyone wanting a home from home learning environment for their children.

Anna looked after my little girl daisy from 3 months old I was a bit worried about leaving her at such a young age but Anna was amazing she reassured me and daisy absolutely loved her it was so lovely to know my little girl was being looked after while I wasn't there I would highly recommend Anna to others.

Anna at Little Monsters Childcare is just amazing with the children. She has over the last few years been just fantastic with all four of my children, often helping me out with very little notice. She has gone out of her way to be there when needed and my kids love her. They often come back from time with Anna full of tales from the fun trips she takes them on. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to any of my friends. xx
