About Me

From your home to homely educational, fun filled, environment;

My name is Nafisa. I am an OFSTED registered childminder since 2010. I work in Bordesley Green area in Birmingham.I hold a full DBS check and first aid certificate. I provide in a safe and caring environment a consistent and emotional care that gives each child the time, space and opportunity to develop confidence, self-esteem and independence to meet their full potential. I ensure all children are treated as individuals. As guideline I use the: EYFS framework and Montessori inspired activities, to support children’s learning and development from birth to five. I observe children, record and assess so I know what activities I can plan in the interest of the child. This will help every child to be ready for school and achieve their Early Learning Goals. In my setting I feel it’s important to help children enjoy learning through play therefore I try to build learning in everyday life. I provide hands on learning. I am a Forest Childcare Provider. This means that I:
• Take the children on weekly outdoor outings
• We do these outings all year long so that the children can build up their confidence outdoors
• We sometimes go on walks. We sometimes go to playgrounds. We do scavenger hunts and act out stories. We go to Bordesley Green allotment where we have are own plot and Moseley Bog.

The early years are the most important years for children, thus I try to contribute to a positive early childhood for children in my setting.
