Great Nanny!

Zdenka took care of our 5 month old daughter for 2 weeks in September 2021. She is professional and punctual and has an unwavering wonderful commitment to the wellbeing, emotional and physical development of children. Zdenka was loving and patient with our daughter and made numerous helpful suggestions (sometimes even after working hours!) with respect to settling our child. She is reliable and sweet. I wholeheartedly recommend Zdenka's services.

A nanny who goes the extra mile

Zdenka’s dedication to her job and her passionate approach to looking after children is simply remarkable. We were lucky to have found her, and we will be forever thankful to her for what she did for our newborn girl and ourselves.

We found her through Childcare.co.uk – having been impressed with her qualifications and previous experiences, we asked her to come to help us out for a few weeks with our new born. Due to travel restrictions, our parents couldn’t come to help, so we booked Zdenka until our families could come. We were struggling so much before she arrived. As first time parents, we were so exhausted and disorganised for the first 4 weeks. Zdenka came in week 5, her arrival eventually became a great help to us – it was the best decision we’ve made! One the day she started, our flat experienced an unexpected severe flooding. Water and electricity were cut off for a few hours. Under such extreme circumstances, Zdenka stayed the whole time with our newborn baby and kept her comfortable and calm in the garden whilst we were dealing with the plumbers, landlord and management agents etc in the flat. She was so accommodating and she kept our baby happy despite the noise and chaos around. We could not have had been more grateful with her being so dedicated and patient to our little one with all the things going on around.

Throughout the next 3 weeks, Zdenka was able to achieve so many things with our baby girl and provided us as new parents with much information about parenting. She is not someone who just comes in to do a job for the hourly rate – she wants to provide the best care for the babies, and her passion shines through everything she does. Apart from the usual feeding, changing and putting baby to bed, Zdenka spent a great deal of time training our baby (and us) many essentials elements about a baby’s development: morning routine; reading bed time stories; plenty of play time and tummy time to train baby’s hand and eye coordination; daily walks in the nature to establish baby’s senses with the outside world…etc. So many things she did that not only helped our baby’s development but also opened our vision as parents of what we need to do to provide the best for our baby. By the end of the 3 weeks, our little girl became so much more manageable for us, and she was able to hold her neck so well – thanks to the regular tummy time Zdenka spent with her tirelessly. Also settling the baby at night became easier for us – because Zdenka showed us how to structure a day with the baby in order to strike the right balance of activities and rest, hence the baby would go to bed much faster at night… all these little things that we never thought we’d achieve so quickly. She made our lives easier and really helped us build confidence as parents for the days to come.

I would highly recommend Zdenka to any family who needs help looking after their little ones.

Nanny to our daughter

Zdenka has been working with us since September 2020, taking care of our first daughter when she was 15 months old, on a full-time basis. Our conditions were not easy as our daughter had only been with us since she was born, and we are both working from home full-time in a small flat. Zdenka is a true professional and handled the transition very well. It wasn’t long before our daughter would wave goodbye to us when she sees Zdenka arrive in the morning.

Zdenka has a deep understanding of children’s learning and development needs which is at the heart of everything that she does. She has brought many books and materials into our home to aid our daughter’s learning and support the activities and themes she meticulously plans. Zdenka has spent her spare time providing advice to us in areas such as sleep and nutrition, and also preparing activities such as making a cardboard barn for messy play or little boats to teach our daughter about sinking and floating. She also scopes the local area for playgrounds, classes and activities to attend, which has not been easy during lockdown.

Zdenka is extremely hard working and very flexible as we have had a number of schedule changes during our time and is able to work additional hours at short notice. She is always punctual, focussed and very dependable. It is heartwarming to hear positive feedback about Zdenka from other nannies or parents which we meet in the playground. Our daughter is small for her age, but very able and confident. We have no doubt that this is due to Zdenka’s encouragement and professionalism in being able to recognise areas for our daughter to learn and teaching methods to help her achieve milestones.
