My Experience
I have been a primary teacher for twenty three years and now also teach music to children from nursery to Year 6. Most of my class teaching has covered Reception to Year 4 however my experience spans 3-11 years of age and I have taught pupils with a range of SEND. I aim to engage children through fun educational activities and getting to know their individual learning style. I use current teaching methods in line with the National Curriculum, for example, the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in maths and focusing on Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP) in the teaching of early reading. Before my teaching career I worked as a sole charge nanny during holiday seasons whilst doing my teacher training. I was also a Playscheme Leader for the Norfolk & Norwich NHS trust and worked at a children's nursery.
