Hi my name is Lori, I am 48 years old and I run a busy house with 4 kids and 2 lovely little dogs called Sula and Smudge. We are an active bunch and are out and about and up to mischief all the time..... we love muddy puddles, painting and generally being noisy and having fun. My husband is a very active part of the team and is on hand to help out with school runs, adventures and chill out time to ensure that homeworks are completed and healthy food is eaten...... We have opened up our home for little people for 7 years now and really enjoy it. We offer flexible care in a loving environment. We have a large home with a dedicated playroom and a spacious garden with plenty of outdoor toys for all ages. I am based in the heart of the waterside easily accessible by car or on foot.
*.... Don't let Sula put you off... She has her own little den completely away from where the children roam about. Smudge now shares this too!
My Experience
I have always looked after little people as I come from a large family where everyone just mucked in. My working life was spent within the training sector working with young school leavers and those who were long term unemployed. I am a mum to five children the oldest 29 and the youngest 10.... so I have a wealth of practical experience as well as a healthy knowledge of differing parenting styles and concepts. I have completed all the relevant training necessary to register as childminder and a whole host of others as well. My children go everywhere and yours will too should you choose to entrust me with their care.
My Qualifications
My husband and I are fully trained in First Aid, Child Protection and Health & Safety.
Food Hygiene Level 2
Working with children who have english as an additional language
Understanding the impact of domestic violence
Working with children with autism
Makaton levels 1 & 2
Additional needs experience!
Solihull Approach and a whole host of other courses to enable me to provide the best care possible!
My Availability
Its been a busy few years and vacancies don't come along often.

I operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm, although longer hours are available on request. School pick-ups and drop-offs are available and my husband is an active part of the team.

My fees are agreed individually with parents and include all snacks and meals. They also include outings.

Lori looked after our two small children very well for three years. She is a warm, friendly childminder and is organised, capable and reliable. She and Rodney have a beautiful home (recently renovated) with a big kitchen, a well-equipped playroom and plenty of space in the garden for outdoor play. She kept our two kiddies busy with arts and crafts and other activities. Lori also updates her training on a regular basis e.g. Makaton. It’s great that Rodney is also involved, and this was a big plus for us. Our children felt like part of the family. We would not hesitate to recommend Lori.

Campbell’s Childcare
We were fortunate to discover Campbell’s Childcare when I was returning to work after having our first child.
We were delighted to see what Lori had to offer and the experience she had. We felt she provided professional care which was tailored to each child’s needs. Prior to Eoghan starting with Lori she organised a trial period where she could get to know Eoghan and he could get to know her.
When the time came to begin his childcare full-time he had no hesitation in staying with Lori and was excited each morning when we arrived to drop him off. This immediately put us at ease as he reacted in such a positive way to Lori and her family. Eoghan attended childcare on a full-time basis Monday – Friday.
Lori is very health and safety aware and if there were any incidents no matter how minor we were always informed. She was great with Eoghan when he was teething and perhaps not in the best form, Lori always remained patient and even went out of her way to ensure Eoghan felt better.
Lori also provided lunches for Eoghan which was great as I felt that these were healthy nutritious meals, the same as he would get at home. He has always been a good eater and thanks to Rodney he now has developed a taste for homemade scones.
After a few weeks I had noticed a positive change in Eoghan he was becoming more outgoing and even sleeping better at night. This was due to the activities and many adventures that he experienced. These were everything from rainy day arts and crafts to walks in the park. Eoghan simply adores the outdoors especially the wonderful garden set-up with the numerous activities and toys.
I felt that Lori provided a safe and secure environment for Eoghan to grow and develop. He loved interacting with the other children and making new friends. I believe we are truly fortunate to have discovered Campbell’s childcare and I would have no hesitations in recommending them for anyone who wants peace of mind that their child is being cared for in a safe and happy environment.

Its always worrying and difficult to try and find a reliable and trustworthy childminder but that's exactly what we have with Lori and Rodney Campbell. They have looked after our 2 and a half year old son since he was 4 months. He is, as they also refer to him, as much a part of the family by now and actively looks forward to going to see the whole family. The interaction he get with them is fantastic, he's comfortable, settled and is growing up in their care and its great to know your in experienced and more than capable hands. We put him in for long hours and they often do lots of actives and spend as much time in the fresh air as possible, they have fun, eat healthily, live active lives, teach him loads....what more could you ask for? Its great going around to pick him up or drop him off as you know they are lively and bubbly and friendly. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Lori has been minding my 5 year old boy for just over a year. He is extremely happy and thriving under the care given by both Lori and Rodney.It is a very safe and friendly atmosphere and I am happy in the knowlegde that he is spending quality time in the company of the other kids and Lori. They are both very interesed in taking kids out for outdoor activities and other play activities, weather permitting.Lori is very flexible with the timings and she is very accomodating on the odd occasion when I have needed extra childcare over weekends. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the care provided and they are like a second family for my wee boy.
