About Me

We are a family with two children - a boy in Year 10 and a girl in Year 7, who live in the Withington area of South Manchester. Both kids attend local high schools, my husband and I both work full time and need someone to provide a bit of support after school.

My Requirements

After School Nanny
Special Needs Experience
Mothers Help

We are looking for after school support for our two high school age children. Start date is immediate until the end of the summer term and then from September onwards.

We need someone who is organised, active, fun and flexible to be there for them when we cannot. We have employed nannies for the past 10 years and the role has changed over that time as the children have become older. We no longer need fulltime support as they can both get themselves to and from school. These days more about helping them with homework, and supporting them to learn to become more independent and having fun (without a screen).

We're happy to discuss days/hours, but we need during term time, 2 or three evenings a week from around 4pm. Duties would include helping with homework, organising kit for the following day, and cooking them an evening meal. Depending on timings and days of the week, it may also occasionally include getting them to and from sports clubs.

Depending on hours needed there will also be the possibility of “babysitting” and cover during some of the school holidays.

Whilst our son has Down's syndrome and needs occasional help with some aspects of self-care, he is independent and capable. He is surpassing all expectations in a mainstream high school which is incredibly rewarding to be part of but does need help and supervision to do his homework.

Would possibly suit a TA or student who lives locally looking for additional hours and/or experience.
