About Me
Hello, my name is April. I live in Enfield. I have been working with children for six years now. I have a passion for working with children and watching them learn and grow everyday.
My Experience
I have been working with children for eight years now and it is something I really love! I love being able to support children and help with their development and watch them grow as individuals. I was working as a nursery nurse. I have lots of experience of working with children from 0-5 years. I had key children, I worked alongside these children making sure they were meeting milestones in the EYFS and following the curriculm for this age group. This makes me able to help children achieve things they should be for their age and stage, I would be happy to do this with your children. The EYFS consists of 7 areas of a childs development which are, Mathematics, Literacy, Personal, Social and Emotional development, Understanding Of the World, Expressive Arts and Design and Physical development. I have experience of changing childrens nappy and assisting with toilet training. I also have experience with day to day routines for example meal times, sleep times and making sure the child is comfortable.
Previous experience of working on the neonatal unit as a nursery nurse, looking after newborn babies & their mothers.
Current role
I am currently working within the community for the NHS, supporting children with their emotional health and well-being. In this role I also offer support to families with routines, sleep routines, toileting, diet and behaviour.
