Like family

Andrea and her husband Paul have been looking after our son since he turned one and we feel so lucky to have found them. We have been so impressed with the level of care they provide and they're approach to looking after multiple children at one time.

A few things that make us so happy that our son has Andrea and Paul in his life:

1. His language development has been incredible since he started. Andrea and Paul spend lots of time both talking with the kids as well as reading books and encouraging them to learn. It really shows 

2. He's become a social little boy. Having a small group of mates that become really close has been a great step to finding a place in the world

3. He thinks of Andrea and Paul as his grand parents. They dote on the children and are always thinking how to help them understand what is going on. When Albi had to go to the doctor, Andrea and Paul got out the doctor toys so he would get a practise run.

They are incredibly kind and thoughtful - from purchasing toys to help stimulate new skills, persevering with naps through difficult sleep regressions(!) and allowing him to bring home toys that he's got attached to for the weekend. They don't just treat it like a job, they genuinely love and care about the children which was so evident at a recent little ones birthday party where all the children were so happy and excited that they were there. We see them as an extension of our family for our little boy and know that their kindness will have a lasting impact on him as he grows.

Friendly, trustworthy & part of the family!

We couldn’t recommend Andrea & Paul more highly. They are warm, friendly & fun - as well as being reliable, nurturing & trustworthy.
Our 2 daughters have attended their setting over the past 2 years, my youngest starting at just 7months old! Leaving my tiny baby in someone else’s care at such a young age was a huge decision to undertake, but Andrea was extremely calm, informative & welcoming during our initial meetings, and I am very pleased to say it has been a brilliant experience over the past 2 years. Both of our daughters adore going to their setting, they have fun, feel safe, and enjoy a varied programme of activities throughout the week!
Their setting is very well equipped, and they have countless activities to engage, entertain & educate a variety of ages.
We have a very strong working relationship, with clear, open & frequent communication. They are very flexible & accommodating with our ad hoc requests, which is deeply appreciated as busy working parents.
They build very strong relationships with all of the children, and parents/caregivers, and we truly see them as an extension of our family - with them being invited to the children’s birthday parties etc.
I have no hesitation in recommending Andrea & Paul, and cannot praise their caregiving style enough. Thank you for providing such incredible care for our girls!

Great and fun setting home from home

Andrea has been amazing for my son for two years, he absolutely enjoyed every moment there from start to finish with lots of interaction, activities of early learning, outdoor learning and provided safe and fun place.
It’s been great easy for us to leave our son when we had to go to work, at the end of the day she provided us with daily detail report and lovely photos.
She is really approachable and understanding of any needs.
Her husband Paul it’s great help,
my son have had amazing relationship with him and we will miss both of them to not to see them every day.
I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Safe and Fun Setting - Highly Recommend

Andrea has taken fabulous care of both of my children. My son from the age of 4months old - 2.5years and my daughter from 6months old -2.5years.
Both children loved going to Andrea's and often ask to go back even now at 7years and 3.5years.

Andrea's setting is a happy, safe place with lots of different age appropriate activities for each child.

Andrea is approachable, friendly and immediate made my children and myself feel at ease when in her setting.
Andrea provides daily updates with photos and key points such as food intake, number of nappies, length of naps etc.

We were very sad when the time came to move the children onto pre reception classes.

I highly recommend Andrea's setting to any one seeking a childminder.

A loving and caring environment

My son started with Andrea in January 2021.
He absolutely loved going and enjoyed his 2 years there.
Andrea provides a loving, happy safe place for the children she looks after. She organises a great variety of activities each day and provides parents with a daily update of photographs and key information.
I felt very at ease leaving my son on the very first day and was sad to leave in September 2022.
I wouldn't hesitate and would trust no one more than Andrea to look after any of my future children.

A caring, loving, safe and fun environment

My son joined Andrea in January 2021 at aged 11 months and we feel so blessed to have found her. My little one loves going to the setting, we have never had a single tear at drop off! He is always welcomed with open arms and a big warm smile.
Andrea’s house is a home away from home environment. It's always clean and child friendly, there are so many toys and activities for him to do each day, from painting, colouring, cars, building blocks, bowling to messy play, sand play and water play in warmer weather. He regularly goes on adventures to the woods, Bushy Park, the playground and to various soft plays; he is so lucky to have such a fun day, every day!
Andrea and Paul feed him lovely nutritious meals and keep to his nap schedule. They always keep him safe and clean and have gone above and beyond to look after him and help him to learn and grow. I get daily updates and photos about his day and it makes me so happy to see him thrive with Andrea.

Wonderful home from home

Both of my children were ‘full time’ at Andrea’s from the age of one until nearly school age ( and my youngest is still there). I was looking for a home from home environment, and as soon as I met Andrea and saw her setting I felt that she was a very lucky find.
Andrea really cares for the children, and takes her role very seriously in supporting their well-being and development. She has a lovely playroom and garden, and the children spend lots of time playing outside when the weather is good, which I really like. They also go out most days to playgrounds or soft play or to feed the ducks which gives lots of variety and exercise. Andrea is always thinking of new places to go or activities to do - we get lots of pictures and crafts coming home. There is also lots of reading and learning which really helped set up my elder child for school.
I pay a little extra for lunch and dinner and Andrea provides a much greater variety of food than I do at home (!) and the children are encouraged to try new things, if they want to. And to learn independence with eating and drinking.
We always look forward to our daily What’s App update with lots of photos each day of what they get up to.
My daughters have very different temperaments and their individuality and routines have been met really well and seemingly effortlessly. Both of them have really loved Andrea’s and have thrived there.

Caring and supportive home-from-home environment.

Our son started with Andrea, just before he turned 9 months when I went back to work as a teacher, following my maternity leave. As new parents, we were anxious about finding the right setting for him, and very much wanted to find someone we felt would communicate well with us, provide him with a stimulating, secure environment, and above all take care of him as though he were family. Andrea met all of our expectations, and from our first visit to her setting, we knew we had made the right choice. She was extremely professional, as well as flexible and understanding of our initial worries about leaving our son. However, we needn't have worried! Our baby settled extremely quickly and from day 1, we can honestly say we have never had any concerns how happy, well supported and stimulated he has been in her care. He is now coming up to 2 and a half and he adores Andrea, as he would an auntie or grandparent. Andrea provides him with a wide range of toys and activities in the home, which she also changes to suit his current needs and interests. She takes him out to explore the local envirnomnent, and to the park as well as regularly visiting soft play cafes with him. Andrea encourages positive relationships with the other children in her care, and communicates well with us with regards to any minor issues as and when they arise. Our family circumstances have changed over the last few months and Andrea has been supportive and flexible with our changing childcare needs. If it weren't for the fact that we are now relocating, we wouldn't be moving our son and know that he will miss her hugely when we move. She has played a huge part in our little boy becoming the happy, bright and engaging little boy that he is. Thank you, Andrea!
