About Me
I am seeking a MOTHER'S HELP, or HOUSEKEEPER-NANNY to start soon. Pay: £20/hr. Total needed 15-30 hrs per week, by negotiation. Annual equivalent salary is £41,000.

Possibility of live-in position with delightful own small cottage (and salary will reflect free accommodation and bills paid. ). Car can also be provided if essential.

We're a friendly family with four kids aged 10-12 (two sets of B-G twins) who attend local school in Hook Norton. Our existing, wonderful long-term Mother’s Help (4 yrs+) is needing to leave due to health reasons. The primary responsibilities will include home management, cleaning, help with kids (aged 10-12), some help with meal preparation, organizing and decluttering, and assistance with laundry. Attention to detail, the ability to work flexibility and having a can-do attitude, are essential for this role.
A BIT ABOUT US: Dad is a novelist and mum is a neuro-scientist. The children are good fun and well behaved and have been raised to be polite and old fashioned (no or few screens, and respect what adults ask of them). We live in a beautiful village close to Chipping Norton. The house is lovely - with a big walled garden and has been a great place for the kids to grow up. The kids have always formed deep, long term bonds with our Helpers who become a part of the family. We are told by those who work for us, that we are a warm and friendly family who appreciate the people who help us. We look forward to welcoming you.
My Requirements
Thank you for reading our profile on Childcare. The job is what is best described as Mother's Help. That means you would do a bit of whatever a mother would do for 10-12 year old kids including looking after the house. We are a very happy, friendly family, so if you're calm, capable, houseproud, like being in charge of your own time - you've got a lot of freedom in this role - and like kids, you'll settle straight in!
DUTIES
30 - 40% direct Childcare - helping kids get up, hair brushed, do their chores, do a packed lunch, sort breakfast, remind them to pack their bags - that sort of thing. Also some driving the kids and school run.
60-70% Household Management (helping with food supplies, changing the odd lightbulb, organising kids clothes) and Housekeeping (cleaning and laundry).
HOURS AND PAY
We need help 15-30 hours a week by negotiation. Some early mornings and some after school. One or two early evenings a week. As the salary is £20/hr that is the equivalent to fully time job of £41,000 per annum but pro rata. If you seek a live in position (see photos) then salary adapts a little.
Start date would ideally be soon but can discuss if you need to give notice elsewhere.
ACCOMMODATION
If you're local, you'll probably want to live out, but we do have excellent, private onsite accommodation if that helps.
