Hi there, my name is Mairi and I am a 28-year-old graduate living in North London. I work full time as a researcher in child and adolescent mental health, and I am looking for some occasional babysitting work. As a requirement of my work, I have had a full DBS check.
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience. I worked as a Mother's Help for a family with 2-year-old twins and a 2-month baby, and also with a family with a 3-year-old. I have experience as a daytime babysitter for an 18-month-old, and a 6-month old.
I spent two years as an after-school babysitter for a 5-year-old girl, which involved picking the child up after school and taking her home. I would help with her homework, reading and violin practice, make dinner, bake cupcakes, go to the playground and watch movies. I also spent 3 months volunteering at a nursery once a week with babies, toddlers and young children up to the age of four.
During University, I had a volunteering position at a school helping primary school children learn to read and helping them with reading out loud as part of a scheme called 'Right to Read'. I was required to take a 'safeguarding children' course in order to get this volunteering position.
I have a DBS check as part of my full time job as a researcher.
My Qualifications
