Hello , I’m Nicky , a very friendly, kind , nurturing nanny , with a warm, calm nature . I’m fully qualified, with many years of experience : from birth to 11yrs , including multiple sets of twins . I have a genuine passion for caring for babies & small children, often forming strong bonds with them & their parents alike . I like to inject fun, creativity, stimulation & education through play. At the end of the day , a happy child means happy parents !
My strengths are , I am flexible, honest, trustworthy & very approachable/adaptable . I'm also not afraid of hard work, am extremely positive & have heaps of common sense
I also have a good understanding of childhood anxiety , prioritising babies / children's emotional needs . I use positive behaviour management strategies, & keep an open dialog with parents at all times . Confident with sleep routines , toilet training, weaning etc
I have good communication & organisational skills ; enjoy cooking healthy meals , & genuinely like to help families out , to try & keep things running smoothly .Any specific needs of the parents or children are also a priority, and I'm happy to undertake light housework, run errands etc, if that's what's required
I also love to play ! And being outdoors with the children planning fun activities , as well as reading stories, being creative, arranging play dates, going to the park/on walks/swimming, imaginative games with make believe 'dens' etc
I’m currently looking to join a lovely family, to help them with some part time hours . I’m very flexible with this . It could be 1 or 3 full days. I’m happy to discuss days & hours as required . My previous & current employers are more than happy to talk to anyone who’s looking for a nanny , to give me current references
I am a mum of 2 grown up children & and in my spare time I love getting out in my garden , walking by the river , cooking & socialising

My Experience
During my B/TEC training I spent time at various different childcare settings, these included
Paddock Wood Infant School
A Montessori Nursery
Cobtree Playschool ( special needs)
And 3 different private families, 1 of which had 6mth old twins
Since qualifying at 18, I have worked solely as a nanny & thoroughly enjoy it
My jobs ( all sole charge),have included -
Full day care & nanny duties for an 8mth old girl ;
Followed by a baby boy of 5mths, whose mum went on to have twin boys a couple of years later, who I helped care for from birth ;
Another boy of 3mths & his baby brother a couple of yrs later ;
And the list goes on !!
During the last few years I have mainly worked part time for 2/3 families . One with twins of 11mths & a 3yr old , then another with a 6 month old & 3 yr old & one with a 1yr old & 3yr old
During this time I've covered many aspects of childcare, from sleepless nights, weaning, teething, separation anxiety, positive behaviour management / discipline, potty training, sibling rivalry , etc .
All of which I have tried to deal with calmly & competently .
My 1st baby was born early at 31 weeks, so I have plenty of experience with premature/tiny babies too
My Qualifications
B/tec National Diploma in nursery nursing
Paediatric first aid
Enhanced DBS check
Ofsted registered
8 o'levels gained at grammar school

Ideally I'm looking for 1 or 3 days /wk ; 10 or 30 hrs wk , out of the days listed below ( some flexibility possible so do please enquire )

From the very start she made us feel relaxed and had a lovely manner with my baby. She always gave lots of helpful advice and I felt 100% confident about leaving my baby with her. During the holidays my other two children also enjoyed playing with her and the house was calm and happy. They were especially happy when she brought her teenage daughter round! My youngest is about to start nursery which is why we will no longer be needing her help but I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for childcare help.
