About Me
Hi there,
I'm a facilitator/mediator, working for a peacebuilding charity, as well a qualified psychotherapist.
I'm a very happy solo mum to a joyful and engaging boy who will be attending Hove Park School from September 2026.
My Requirements
We are due to relocate from North London to North Portslade in the summer and looking to build up new local networks.
I'd like to find nannies you can be available on an ad hoc basis, occasionally providing after school care, mostly on a Wednesday, and the occasional evening or weekends.
We are veggies so someone familiar with vegetarian diet/cooking would be a bonus, as well as animal lovers as we are looking to get a furry addition to our family once we've moved.
We are a bilingual family - German and English.

Hanan looked after my son (5 years old at the time) one afternoon a week for a few months in 2021. I needed someone who could be flexible and take care of him until late evening sometimes, which was quite hard to find at the time. When we first spoke her offer almost sounded too good to be true but turned out even better!
Hanan was absolutely brilliant, accommodating all my needs, and - most importantly - being incredibly warm and responsive with my little one. Believing in attachment parenting myself, it was important to me to find someone who is engaging and follows a similar educational approach, especially as my son had got used to spending all his time with me during the lockdown and was feeling somewhat anxious about being left. My son warmed up to Hanan easily and always had a great time at her place. I felt very confident leaving him with her, knowing he would feel comfortable and listened to.
Hanan has a great set-up at her place, with lots of varied space indoors and a small garden as well. She also stepped in a few times when I needed ad-hoc support on INSET days or similar.
When my timings changed I sadly had to find someone else as Hanan was not able to do school pick-ups. However, I will not hesitate to leave my son with her if I need support again in future, and recommend her most strongly to other parents.
