About Me
My name is Mav Aplin and I am registered with Ofsted as a Childminder.Prior to becoming a childminder I have Volunteered with Home Start and Army Welfare Services Youth clubs whilst also raising my own three children.
I live with my husband and our Three children, I have lived in Lincoln for 9 year now after traveling with my Husband job with the Armed forces. I love where I stay and feel lucky to be able to bring up my children in such a lovely area. My husband works in the Telecommunication field and is a helper at the Army Cadet group in North Hykeham
I enjoy working with children and accepting them into my home, I aim to make them feel part of the family. As a small childcare provider I am able to offer a more home-like environment, with the opportunity to share and learn with other children in my setting. I am able to be flexible and work around your requirements. At the moment I also work in a local school over the lunchtime period. As a childminder I am able to offer continuity of care, and can continue to provide childcare even when your child starts school/nursery.
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder for the last 8 years with children age ranging from 6 months to 11 years.
My Qualifications
I hold a certificate in Paediatric First Aid; have completed the initial childminding training and Safeguarding level 2. I partake in regular training throughout the year to keep myself up to date on courses and best practice. I have recently done a course on Schemas in under 2 year olds

I work Mon - Fri 0700 to 17.00
I will try my best if extra hours are needed before and after my start and finish times
