Part Time Nanny Job In Cambridge

About Me

We have two daughters: a three year old and an eight year old. Cordelia is charming and funny and Imogen is bright, chatty and imaginative. We live off Hills Road in Cambridge with a lovely dog, three cats and two guinea pigs.

I work in London two days a week and from home the rest of the time. My husband is a doctor at Addenbrookes.

My Requirements

Babysitter
Housekeeper
After School Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Mothers Help

We are looking for someone to help us three days a week with after school care from the beginning of January (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) as our lovely current nanny is starting work as a play therapist. Cordy is at nursery until 3.15pm and Imogen's school (on a different site) finishes at approximately 4.40pm.

We are looking for someone with childcare experience who is energetic, resourceful and proactive. Duties will include school pick up and taking the girls to various clubs such as swimming. We would also ask for help with light household tasks such as preparing the children’s meals, helping with homework, tidying up the toys/books/crafts as well as some bedtime/bathtimes.

We have a cargo bike (with a battery) which is brilliant for getting the girls to various places and given the traffic in Cambridge is far easier to get around on than a car. If you don't have much/any experience on a cargo bike we are happy to pay for some sessions with an experienced trainer.

The hours are from 3pm to 7pm with the opportunity for up to thirty hours a week in the school holidays. We would also consider an extra hour a day for help with light housekeeping tasks etc.
This role would work well for someone studying (so long as it doesn't clash with lectures) and there is some flexibility around the hours. Childcare qualifications are preferred but not essential but childcare experience is. This role is not suitable for NWOC.

We are ideally looking for someone with an up to date paediatric first aid qualification and valid DBS.

Rates: £14 to £16 per hour gross depending on experience. We would possible consider slightly higher for someone with extensive experience.
