My Experience

I have extensive childcare knowledge and experience. I worked as a class teacher in primary schools specialising in early years for 5 years before moving onto nannying which I have been doing for the past 17 years. During this time I have been part of 6 fantastic families.

I currently work for a lovely family in Shepherds Bush looking after 2 boys aged 3 years old and now the youngest addition, a 4 month old in a sole charge role. This position is ending in September when the family leave London.

My job before this started in October 2023 and was split equally between two families who were friends. Initially I cared for one baby whilst mum covered her friends maternity, and then changed families once maternity had ended. This was sole charge, term time only and the babies were 4 months old. This job ended in April 2025 again with the family moving out of London.

My position before this started in February 2020 when the youngest child had just turned a year old and her older sibling was 6. This position changed to afterschool care when the youngest started school and ended in 2023 when the oldest started at Secondary school. Again it was sole charge and term time only.

Before this job I looked after 2 children, starting when the first was 4 months old and later looking after his newborn sister as well. This position was again sole charge, term time only in Shepherds Bush staying with the family for over 3 years, ending when they required full time hours.

I also worked for a family in Chiswick for 8 years, starting when the children were 18 months and almost 4 years old, initially full time and again a sole charge position. I then went on to provide holiday care and after school pick ups as the children got older and I myself started a family of my own, a boy and girl, now aged 15 and 13.

I love getting out and about in the local area and have built up a great knowledge of things to do, places to go, groups and classes that are on offer for children and babies of a variety of ages to go and help progress and develop their social skills, confidence, interests, language and passions. Similarly time spent at home can involve learning through play by painting, making cards, baking, play dough, building models, reading stories, imaginative play, putting on shows, teddy bears picnics, playing board games, planting in the garden, having play dates with friends, completing homework etc.

I am happy to carry out nursery duties, doing the children’s washing and keeping areas used by the them clean and tidy, as well as planning and cooking a range of healthy and tasty food for the children, involving them where appropriate and filling up the freezer with batch cooked meals.

I am experienced and knowledgable in bottle feeding, weaning, potty training, introducing and/or following routines, settling at nursery and school and appreciate the importance of effective, thoughtful communication with parents regarding their child's/childrens progress, achievements, general day to day well being and activities we've been enjoying.

My Availability

I am available from September 2026. I am flexible regarding specific days and hours but am looking for a long term position on a part time basis.

I am not looking for an afterschool only position.
