I am hoping to start a new career within the childcare sector, preferably with a family of agricultural/equestrian background.
I can diversify my qualifications, experience and skills to make for a Nanny/mothers help/farm hand.
I have worked all of my life within an agricultureal and equestrian environment and in more recent years I have worked for five and a half years with Gloucestershire social services as a contact supervisor/family support worker.
I have three grown up children and two very young grandchildren.
I have always owned my own horses. I now share the duties with my daughter and enjoy riding on the weekends with her. I am married and living in winchcombe.
I have my own vehicle with a full clean driving licence.
My Experience
1976 Completed GCSE'S at Cleeve school. I then enrolled at Hartpury College where i studied Agriculture. During this time I worked on a Dairy and sheep farm.
1979 - 1981 Groom/Housekeeper for Lady Steele at Glebe House
1981 - 1983 Groom for Rosie Hambro part time. Rode out for Bob Hartop and Norton Brookes at Racing yard in Andoversford and Cleeve Hill
1983 - 1988 Retail Assistant at Westmidland farmers
1988 - I stopped working to have my three children. During this time I worked self employed with my husband running a catering business. This lasted 5 years.
2000 - As my children had all started secondary school, I started voluntary employment at Noverton Farm Riding stables mucking out the stables and assisting with the childrens riding lessons
2007 - Baytree Court Nursing home care assistant. (6 months)
2007 - 2010 Gloucestershire County Council, Community Care Assistant
2010 - Gloucestershire County Council/Countywide Contact Team
I worked as a family support worker and contact supervisor within a team of social workers and support workers within the child sector.
2015 - present
I opened up my own high street shop in Winchcombe selling food products. The shop was a success and I have recently sold the business to a family member. I am now working here part time and I occasionally work ad hock childcare for a local parent
